RacerAl's Cool Cobra Cookout! AUG 2. attendee list 22 cars so far
Well, its that time of the year agin. Sandy and I would like to invite you all to the Cool Cobra Cookout II. This is a NON-DENOMINATIONAL COBRA EVENT. It will be Aug.2 at our house from 2pm unitll... just bring your family,cars and your fav-0-rite beverage.
We will do the typical cookout thing. I live just north of Greensboro NC just off of 220 in Mayodan,Nc. My address is 713 Wilkins St. Mayodan nc. 27027. Just a little update.. we are up to 10 cobras now and about 30 folks.... we need to break the 30 cobra mark!!!

O.K. about the menu.... As bad as I hate to tell you guys, there will be no goat this year.. I did sneak in some goat meat in those burgers last year..
This year will be a catered event with Bar-B-Que and all the fix'ns that goes with it.. All you will need to bring is your Cobra(if you have one) chairs, and your favorite beverage, (if ya know what I mean).. we will have all the soft drinks,tea,water.. This is the Menu Menu: Bar-b-que Slaw (plain and bar-b-que) Rolls - Potatoe Salad Baked Beans assorted sweet stuff We are up to 14 cobras.. 2 of'em with 427 fat block with 2-4's Its getting good... I love the smell of racing gas in the morning!!! |

I know you can do it, last August I had 18 Cobras and over 50 people at my house in Cape Coral. The summers here in Florida are the rainy season but the sun shined all day including the next couple days. I had a local friend who brought his EM 427 SOHC with a C6 transmission. He also owns a Pantera and a real GT40. I have a 135' frontage lot and had to put some Cobras on my neihbors yard to include all 18 across. I hope you top your 30 Cobras. Dan |

Hay!! I kind of like the yellow paint jobs :LOL: , plus it's better than all the new Cobras from the guys who can't even afford paint. Although it does look like yellow has taken over, when everyone thought that a Cobra had to be blue with a white stripe.

Directons to the Cool Cobra Cookout
If you are coming from Va. take 220 south to the first Mayodan exit (220 business) Go 3 miles. Take right at the first stop lite. Go up Main street, past town hall.. looking on your right, go until you see 10 ave. Take a right on 10th. Go to the end of 10th. Take a right on Wilkins St. I am the second house on right across from Forest Grove Swimming Pool. If you are comming from Charlotte,Greensboro,Hickory area.. get off of I 40 (airport exit) at the highway 68 intersection. Go north 68 up past Greensboro airport. Go untill 68 runs into 220. Keep going for another 7-8 miles untill you come to route 135 exit. This will be the Mayodan, Eden exit. Go left on 135 torwards Mayodan untill you can't go any futher (about 2 miles) . Take a right at the lite. Go to the second lite and take a left.Go up Main street, past town hall.. looking on your right, go untill you see 10th.ave. Take a right on 10th. Go to the end of 10th. Take a right on Wilkins St. I am the second house on right across from Froest Grove Swimming Pool. For those who are trailering... I don't have a lot of room at the house to keep trailers. So, if you would.. when you exit off 135 and head into Mayodan.. there is McMichael High School on your right.. It is where we have car shows.. you can park there and unload and drive in.... this is a very protected area... If this is a problem.. let me know and I will see what we can work out....
