David, when will you be offering the one-off, only fits a hybrid, taken from KMP 230, aluminum hard top, on Ebay? Baby needs a new pair if shoes. ;)
I think if one of your well respected customers(that'd be me;) ) was seen sporting an aluminum hard top from Kirkham Motorsports, ya'll would sell thousands upon thousands of tops.
Forget putting the top on Ebay and just send one my way, gratis. TIA(or would that be PITA?), Southernfriedpanhandler :3DSMILE:

mrmustang 07-27-2003 03:39 PM

David,

I kind of knew about the time involved, but was wondering how it is done (ie: 1000 grit on a straight edge sanding board, orbital sander, etc and so forth).....

southernfriedcj 07-27-2003 03:56 PM

Mr Bill,

email me @ sfcj8@bellsouth.net , and I will forward you an email from Pat Buckley which outlines how to sand a Kirkham. Pat's directions will take you step by step, all the way to mirror polish.

Jim

Now this sounds like what I wanted to begin with!

Ok David, lets see; FIA body + 427 frame attached by me, all the parts for a roller less wheels and tires = lets make a deal. The usual smoke (tire smoke) darkened room (you have my work e=mail) to work out the details of my build. Great!

SFCJPH why don't you just send that email to me too, I have afeeling I will be needing those directions for how to remove finger prints with sand paper: johnjoye@safelink.net

Thanks Jim:) :)

southernfriedcj 07-27-2003 07:07 PM

Alright guys, I've emailed to: John S., David K., Brett B., Bill S., and Adrian T.
Please let me know if any of you guys didn't get the email. A few of ya'll were in my address book, so I sent the email to that address. A couple addresses just had a name, no "@...". I hope it went through. My email deal is kinda screwy sometimes. It started actring up when I went from Hotmail to Bellsouth.

edit: sent to Robert in VA, Scott S., James B., Todd C., Lowell W., Jamo

southernfriedcj 07-27-2003 07:13 PM

Pat, if you catch this thread I hope you don't mind me sharing your recipe for sanding and polishing a Kirkham(car that is;) ). Thanks for the info. Royalty check is in the mail.

Jimbo, offline would love to discuss finishing our KMPs. Can't believe that will be your relaxation after your house is finished. %/ %/ :JEKYLHYDE  :D :D :D

Send email on LNP tips will yah??!!?? He's a great guy who I was so glad to meet--fortunately not on the track ;) !!

southernfriedcj 07-27-2003 07:39 PM

Mike, I sent the email a few minutes before your post. Check your mail. If it's not there I'll pad my post count another 20 and try again.:3DSMILE: You need to come by and we'll discuss the Kirkham cars over some sandpaper.;) Or maybe a beer somewhere 'tween here and Roswell. Suwanee? Duluth?

Gregg(What's his name)? 07-28-2003 10:07 AM

Am I missing something here??

Ok,

I know I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And I went to Nebraska where the "N" stands for KNOWLEDGE. But only $3,383 for a Kirkham frame and 427 body.

Is there something I'm not reading into this.

If the this price keeps this low I may have to just bite the bullet and have another toy to tinker with.

Thanks guys

Gregg H

Fellow car nuts:

I think it is a little premature to judge the "final" price of the car when it has barely been on e-bay for 24 hours..

That said, these cars/parts may go cheap...they may go for more than retail (many have). Just depends on how badly the guy wants the car.

We consider this advertising. If it goes too cheap...oh well, we live and learn. If it goes for full price, great (for us, that is). :D

We are always willing to try new things.

David:) :) :)

Jamo 07-28-2003 04:42 PM

Way early.

Given the current bid, almost seems like a good idea to have a spare body/frame.:3DSMILE:

David Kirkham 07-28-2003 04:46 PM

Jamo,

I don't know...the way you drive, you better get TWO spare frames and bodies...and suspensions, windshields, tires,...

David:D :D :D

hmmmmmm, maybe that is what SFCJ has in mind?

Jamo 07-28-2003 04:49 PM

Hey, I resemble that!
