Turk's on THE hunt again!

Turk has the fever and is on the hunt again. He talked about a new FIA but I thought he was kidding until he listed his Porsche on ebay yesterday! I heard that the entire staff at ERA have changed identities and that SAI in Las Vegas is changing their phone numbers immediately!

Check this out!:

Out of sheer curiosity, why was there such a quick turnover on the Shelby? Was it just that the Porsche was too good of a deal to miss or was it an issue with the naked lady herself?

Ron61 08-05-2003 07:23 AM

Yea Turk, why did you turn the Cobra over so quickly ? Even before I got down there for a ride in it. By the time I got down to that area you had alredy gotten the Porsche.

Ron

Dan Semko 08-05-2003 07:25 AM

Buzz,
No problem with the Shelby but rather a matter of mutual convenience. My CSX doesn't have an engine or drive train and like Turk's. is also buffed aluminum. Turk's car was completed and recently re-inspected at SAI, so the swap of the Porsche AND the CSX for his car was mutually beneficial. After hundreds of hours of detailing, Turk realized that he really missed having a custom painted cobra and rather than completely disassemble his car, it was much easier to start from scratch. Now he's hot on the FIA and as I understand, the Shelby Anniversary Blue color scheme, so who knows where he'll end up.

Chaplin 08-05-2003 07:37 AM

Here's a better question. What the hell is that tredmill doing there? I'm sure that also has low miles:LOL:

Dan Semko 08-05-2003 07:45 AM

You should see what's on the other sides! When Turk stated that the car was in a "climate controlled environment" he wasn't kidding! Actually the treadmill is a subliminal suggestion to get Turk to quit smoking.;)

Buzz 08-05-2003 07:46 AM

Dan, makes sense! Chaplin, that's not a treadmill. It's a spare motor for the Porsche - hamsters not included.:3DSMILE:

There's a nice ERA FIA for sale on NorCal SAAC website and CobraCountry in St. Helena, CA. Been for sale for quite awhile. Don't know whether the guy will deal or not.

HIQ 08-05-2003 09:54 AM

That is a NICE Porsche! Not my cup of tea, but for a Porsche guy this is really a find.

CowtownCobra 08-05-2003 10:09 AM

Wow, this is almost like a reality show...

What will Turk do next?

CSX 4039 08-05-2003 12:16 PM

buy CSX 4264? (see other thread)

REAL 1 08-05-2003 12:51 PM

You never know who might end up buying that Porsche.

:D

Chaplin 08-05-2003 12:55 PM

I have a sneaking suspicion who it might be . . . . Maybe he'll throw in the heater and treadmill too.

CSX 4039 08-05-2003 12:58 PM

You mean another car that is so perfect you'll have to drive a mile behind the nearest car in the auto cross?

Just kidding....:D

rdorman 08-05-2003 01:06 PM

That Turk!

What a wheeler dealer. I wish I had room in my garage. Terrific cars.

Brett, I just got around to looking through your pictures. Beautiful ride! And the car looks great to! Just kidding.

I know I should know this, but whose was the 40th anniversary car at DVSFIII. One of my favorites there.

Rick
