Question Help with attaching pdf file

Ron, ( computerworks ) or anyone else who can help me. I have scanned in a file that lists all the Original Cobra serial numbers and tells what they were and what type gauges each had & etc. When I tried to attach it to the post it gave me an error that it took to much time and the file is a lot larger then the 30K limit. I thought there was a way to attach just the file so it could be downloaded or opened and that was what I was trying. It seems that when I tried, it was trying to put the open file in the post. I tried scanning it into Word so I could save it as a TXT file, but when I did that the formatting was all messed up when I opened it in Word. This has to be something simple that I am not doing, so any help wouild be greatlt appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

Believe you put the file in your gallery (although not sure if it will take a pdf), then insert the "image" file in your post..

If not, Computerworks?????

There is an unfortunate obstacle here...
The forum software does allow a .PDF (Acrobat) file to be attached to a post. However, the 40k max file size rule still applies to the attachment.
Unfortunately, most graphic-rich .PDF files are usually always much greater than 40k in size.

The appropriate alternative is to place the file on another server and then provide a link to it within a post.

Ron..send me the .PDF and I'll put ir up on a server to show you what I mean... (attach it to an e-mail to me)
