What kind of Cobra is this
Does anyone know what kind of Cobra this is ? A friend of mine took the picture at Hot August Nights. It looks as if the sides are indented and the emblems are 427. It shows better in a printed picture and the louvers are right against the front fender.

From the look of the tailights, and the trunk hindge, it does look like a Stallion...........

I'd Say West Coast
I'm just finishing a West Coast and from the picture, that car looks like a West Coast. The interior is certainly WC and the full width roll bar is from a WC. The car looks a little short, but that might be the picture. Other than that, it looks all West Coast to me. I'm not familiar with the stallion, so can't comment on that. You can see more of West Coast cars on their website, which might help.

It may just be the picture, but it does look a bit small for a WC/Stallion. But I agree, it is a WC/Stallion (fuel cap located in the middle, roll bar, hinges)

I'm thinking it looks more like a Tomahawk Z... I saw a couple of them at Knotts. The car is based on the nissan z car.

Very good chance it is indeed a Stallion.
Dash design, roll bar and upholstered top edge of the door are all consistent.
I think the picture makes the car look shorter than it really is.
The 280Z Cobra is interesting (note lack of padded top of doors).

Tomahawk-Z has external door handles and virtually no mass between the leading edge of the door and the front wheel well.
I agree it's a WC or Stallion, but the victim of a macro or wide-angle lens.
(I think the "side indent" is just a reflection)

Stallion / West coast
No doubt about it. Virtually every other manufacturer copied the cobra, they made up their own.

Didn't all the stallions have 429's and louvers in the hood? I can't tell from the pic whether it has either, but it might narrow it down to which one it is.

I talked to the friend who took the picture and sent it to me and he had a new camera that his wife got him and hadn't used it before. He said the angle made the rear end look big. I can expand the front side enough to read the side emblem and it says 427. I printed the picture out and it has more detail but is still very hard to tell much about the front. It looks as if the side louvers are right in the fender almost but that has to be the camera angle.

Its the shape of the rear end. Look at how exagerated is the crease where the tail lights go, its almost like the fins on a 59 caddy!

For all of you that said West Coast....Your right. It said it on the window sticker that was on the car. It was parked at the Hilton Show n' Shine when I saw it.
