ST,
I don't know whether your comment was directed at my posts, but "better than" is absolutely NOT what I'm saying. I'm simply talking about differences, not better vs. worse. In a thread that began about the value proposition of a particular car in the competitive market, surely a discussion of differences among the market competitors is appropriate (as long as it doesn't degenerate into "mine is better than yours"). |
My comments were not directed to any one person, just a general observation.
Over the last couple of years it seems like the same "crap" occurs evrytime SAI is mentioned in a thread. If I hurt anybodys feelings....oh well, you'll get over it. |
What are the real number sold?
My friend Marc is still on the list to buy one and just told me they sold (12) cars and not (75) this last weekend at Laguna.
...sounds like we have some spin doctors out there! |
$39,000 CSXplus, plus, plus......
ST,
As you noted the thread came apart, but with SAI only time will tell if they overburden/make demands of CAV and it's position as supplier of FGRP bodied COBRAs to Vegas, as they attempt and always have done with all their suppliers, local or overseas. In time, there will still probably be ERA, UNIQUE, FFR, and others, all outselling SAI with their FGRP/CAV unit, we'll just have to wait till the SAI bean counters beat them into oblivion over the first 100, cars shipped, right? grumpy |
Actually I feel like the thread has stayed "on topic" amazingly well. Especially for 7 pages!
Topic is was: An SAI for 39K? The obvious direction, to me, would then be to compare that "price/value" to what else is available. Mine is better than yours at that price etc. IS right on target. Ernie |
Imagine this scenario...
My wallet is $50 grand lighter but I'm loving life: I'm finally realizing my dream to own a "real" Cobra.
I'm at a gas station and some dude pulls in and asks: is that a real one? I reply with pride--you better believe it! The admirer then raps his knuckles on the quarter panel, his face frowning at the sound he was not expecting. "Dude, this is a kit car! You are really low to pass it off as an original" I start stammering, "is it real...it's a continuation of the series...wait...they're fiberglss now...I have these notarized papers...wait...come back... |

ST you are so right. It only takes one or two to turn a nice Cobra conversation into either a Shelby bash or a real/fake argument.. what is better and why. Sometimes I wish the moderators would stop the negative posts and insults. But then I guess that interferes with our freedom of sometimes being a,,,holes. All in all the quality of topics still outweigh the crap so I'll stick around untill it gets too ugly... |
I am getting out of the wheeling and dealing business, unless you want to trade it for a Harley.
