You probably thought I was still in Monterey. We came back early.
There was nothing there to see!!!

Ron,

I too would like to thank you for saving us from Turks lengthy post... Just the fact that Turk is saving the post for the next time should get people back on the straight and narrow...

Ron,

Thanks, This was well past being brought out into the open. I have talked via e-mail with several members and we had all thought that some of the posts are getting to far on the personal attack side. I know that sometimes I make dumb ones too and I am going to do my best to read and think about mine in the future before hitting the button. Some posts I am afraid to even post in because of certain people's posts and I know that any answer will just bring more arguments. But I have made my share of stupid posts too, so I can't point fingers. And as Casalennie said, just the thought of Turk's long tirade should scare people into staying on the subject and not wandering off. Thanks to all of you and Brent for making this club what it is.

Thanks!!

Ron,
Thanks! I really hope everyone gets the point, and I do hope we have lost our last true contributing member due to this now apparent problem.
I do believe that using the -face to face rule- should apply to most everything we do in any on line activity, ie- would you actually say what you are about to say to someone else if you were actually looking that person in the eye?
I hope this is the start of a reversal of this trend.
Thank you all for your work and for this timely topic.

Y'know.....

...if these offending threads had no responses (read: self-control), there would not be a need for this, would there?

Physicians, heal thyselves.

No justifiable reason to reply? - stop being so verbose.

Has anyone checked to see if there is a realtionship between these threads and a full moon??

I believe in open communications and a free flow of ideas; however, people should stay reasonably close to the original posted topic or create another topic in a seperate post. Also, people should (by my values) be good mannered in their communications. This site is not a place for personal attacks. We all do best if we treat each other with respect at all times.

Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully we will self-police and not have to create a "big brother" to act as a controller and censor.

My impression is that Cobra owners are generally strong, independent individuals who value freedom. We do not need to actions of a few to take away the freesom of the many.

I ,too, am new to the board and would like to thank all those involved in putting it up. I enjoy the sense of humor of the majority of the people on board (except that guy with the computer meltdown thread:D ) and you all deserve my appreciation. I will say, since I am on other boards it appears to be something going 'round. This is the second site I'm on that has expressed the same concerns today. (maybe it's me). I do enjoy people with strong opinions, and unfortunately do check the threads where the worse of it is going on, most of the time trying to figure out what the references mean (remember I'm new). But as a long time Cobra fanatic ,I'm glad the site exists.

Ron that was great timing. I had been away for a few days so when I finished dinner I told my wife I was going to go see what the latest p!ss!ng match on CC was about. You wouldn't believe what I found... Hummmm....

Thanks for reminding everyone.

Hi Guys,

Like WDZ I have just arrived at this site. %/

The variety of information and the many photos etc. have made the site both interesting and good to source out parts and ideas.
:3DSMILE:

In the short time I have been here, I have sourced out a compact heater, wiring information and made contacts in the States that will make my visit in October a lot more interesting. %/

The point of my post is simply to ask everyone to post replies that don't get into personalities as the thread just drops to the level of a club or committee out of control.

Lets make Rons role an easier one.

The Australians are always having a good natured go at each other with everything from beer drinking capabilities to ones lack of brain power. But it was highlighted to me earlier that once posted and read it is hard to withdraw or edit.

At the end of the day I am basically saying I enjoy the good natured fun but am somewhat concerned when I read something that makes me ask what is the underlying message here.

Or whats this all about

Hey you guys just keep putting on plenty of pictures and great information its saves me buying magazines. :3DSMILE:

I had better get back to Australian forum and make sure we haven't started something there we cannot stop.

What Cobra kit should I buy was just such question that let the cat amongst the birds!!

See yah mate :3DSMILE:

Just delete the "out-of-order" posts. No explanation needed. After a while, when people start seeing their missives deleted, they will come around and write more responsibly.

Excaliber 08-25-2003 09:43 PM

,,,,hey, where'd my other post go?

Thanks for saying something, you may notice I have been a member for quite some time but I have a low post count. That's because everytime I post someone feels the need to jump me personally via the post. Where I grew up if you talked to someone to their face like some of these guys talk on the threads you would get your a$$ kicked. We respect each other here where I live or you just might be picking up your teeth with broken fingers. Once again thanks for a wonderful site that I visit and enjoy everyday. flatliner
