Default Lonestar-How wide of wheel/tire size ?

I need to talk to Lonestar owners about tire & wheel sizes. I guess I have the widest wheel size, at 15x8, that can be used. We can go to a 17", with a low porfile tire. What are you other guys running ?
Thanks,
kevin

I have 15x8 on the rear, running 275-60-15 tires with a narrowed by 4" Mustang GT rear end.

Kevin

I too am a Lonestar owner - 428 - tremec 5 speed. I have been wanting to do some mods on the engine but keep it driveable on the street using street gas. What would you recommend? My sense is the cam (which is very stock), and the intake (which is an edelbrock performer 390 - very weak - should both be replaced. What would you replace them with? what are you running?

Thanks

John

Chris- that's the same size I have but, want more.

John- we could talk all day about performance up-grades, it depends on what you want, mild to wild and the old mighty $$$... E-mail me for my opinion & will explain details on my 428.

Fred- looks like I'll have to step up tp 17's. A friend of a ....friend, is a tire dealer, he has a tool to measure wheel size, off-set, tire ect.. Maybe I can find a bit lower profile tire to fit a 10" rim, unless it will look odd ? OR, I may get lucky and use my same tire but, buy a 10" "torque thrust D" We'll see !
