Buzz,

Great job on the last two and I like either of them. I kind of think I like the Member curved better but will be happy with either. You do great work.

Ron :)

Buzz 09-08-2003 08:24 AM

Thanks for all the input, guys - truly a collaborative effort. I'm anxious to see the finished product. Duane, I sent the finished file to your email address as a Photoshop EPS attachment. It seemed to have gone OK. I will monitor this thread just in case there are any glitches. :MECOOL:

Collaborative - Yes!

Hi Buzz,
I received your email, Thanks. I don't have APS, but I'm hoping the printer does. Just for backup, if you can send me a copy in MIC/Microsoft Image Composer, or Visio, or PowerPoint that would be great just so I can peak at it. I'll check today, but I think he uses a Mac.

If you like APS a lot, I may just get that for myself too... I'll find out today. THANKS!

WOW, GREAT.... GOTTA HAVE SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Any projected ETD?

Buzz

Hey Buzz,
I went to the printer this morning and I sent you an email from work. They don't have a Mac, they have a Win/PC.

They asked me to provide a high reso TIF or JPEG. I don't want to open and save it from a different tool for fear of creating distortion...

Could you email me a high reso TIF or JPEG? or let me know if I need to load APS on their PC for any resolution reasons.
Thanks, Duane

decooney 09-08-2003 10:44 AM

Update

BUZZ,
I got the TIFF. Thanks, I'm waiting for the printers feedback now on the new file and resolution.

All / Update,
the printer has the image now, and I'm waiting for two other jobs to get finished. Once they are done with those mid week, they will start on the first prototype, a little more proofing ,and then we'll run the first batch. I won't be satisfied til I see that first real sticker, with the new changes and resolution on quality vinyl this time! I'll keep you updated. :)

Not that it matters

I really think the straight 'Member' looks the best. It underlines the Cobra graphic and leads your eye to the middle of the image. It does make the 'Member' stand out which looks right to me. Just my .02 worth.

Humbly

Hey All, here is a quick update on the final window sticker sample.

just got back from the print shop. They provided five different type samples. Front, Front/Rear dual-image, White backing, Clear backing, sticking from inside, sticking from outside... too many decisions !@#$%^&*()_.

After covering their company front windows with several, and a few tests on my own car, here is the final that looked the best.

* One-sided image
* Clear backing vs. white or gray
* 2-1/4" diameter
* Using water to apply like window tint, without air bubbles

Info:
* $2.00 each / Three for $6
* Maximum of three per member please

The dual-sided was too dark, the white backing showed too much grain against the blue sky. The one-sided clear looks really different. When outside in the sun, the daylight shines through the backside of the sticker and sort of alluminates it a bit. Sort of a neat suprise.

Anyhow, all of you that have actually been reading this thread will get first crack at the first batch. I ordered 50 this time, and when they run out I'll order more. So, if we can keep orders to a maximum of three per person for now, that would be helpful for others. Any large orders will need to be discussed.

I will post this later on it's own thread, but here is the address to send your self addressed stamp envelop, money order or to...

Money Order / check payable to:
Duane Cooney

Note: write your Club Cobra Member name on the check, just in case I need to contact you about anything later... Don't forget to send your self-addressed stamped envelop.

Address:
CC Decals
24988 Blue Ravine Rd.

BTW:

if you send for a club cobra window sticker, please be sure to email me through club cobra so I know to expect it. Thanks. Duane

casaleenie 09-16-2003 05:19 PM

Duane,

Any shipping and handing? We know your time is not valuable but there has to be postage and envelopes

decooney 09-16-2003 05:30 PM

Shipping and Handling

casaleenie,

yeah, I know, I hear ya... for now just go ahead and send me a (self addressed stamped envelope). With your stamps and address on there I will charge nothing more for shipping and handling - unless this starts to get out of hand, but I don't think it will (I hope not).

I'm trying to do this as low-cost, non-profit, as a contribution to ClubCobra and all the people that have made my experience here enjoyable over the last several years...

We'll see how it goes. Thanks for asking.

Fox 09-16-2003 05:49 PM

Duane,

I have been looking forward to the decals since the first posts. I will drop you an email, SASE and $6.
