I think i might have one of them sitting under the bench in the garage!

Heck!
I'm sure I can set that back far enough to get a "proper" weight ratio! :) DV...of course we might have to extend the wheel base a little! ;) |
The banners on the wall are printed in Korean. I can't believe that anywhere but Korea would have such in a factory.

WOOOOOOW!
Thanks for the tour , Fixit KK |
Ring and pinion
And just what do we do for a ring and pinion? Instead of a 3.25 ratio one would need about a 0.05 to get the same top speed at 102 rpm instead of 6000. Thats 20 teeth on the pinioin for each on the ring gear! Or the world's highes ratio O.D. transmission.

Is this...
...one of those marine diesels that "starts" on diesel and then runs on bunker oil when it is warmed up?
I understand they run them on the diesel in port and other areas where there are air quaility controls and switch to the bunker when out past the international line to save cash... Rick:confused: |
We ran ours on "DFM" Diesel fuel Marine. But most commercial outfits run them on heavy oil which has to be heated to around 200 deg F to even be pumped. It can be cut with light oil. The down fall to this oil is it is dirty. You score liners, and clog injectors. Let me tell ya, its not fun cleaning 3ft tall injectors, and if they get scored, forgetaboutit.....its off the the manufacturer as they are all lapped and matched parts!
