Thumbs up Kudos to you both

...I think we sent the troops into the wrong country (a little bit too far to the north!)...some of the data on the Saudi connection is really revolting.....anyway, it's a safe bet we all knew people who were lost in the attacks. My connection was a wonderful gentleman named David Alger. Incidentalaly, I don't know the name of the park, but it is in the highlands just south and east of Little Falls, NJ---it has a stirring memorial and a panoramic view of Manhatten. Worth the trip if you live in the area. And (not to stir the pot) but why don't we REPLICATE Yamasaki's original design for the twin towers? -----in other words, replicate the towers exactly and dedicate large portions of each ground floor to memorials---a la USS Arizona! This was an act, not of war (declared or otherwise) this was heinous, cowardly mass murder and Wahhabism ought to pay and pay heavily. It is a putrid, racist and gutter religion and should be treated as such. This time I shall not duck and cover!

Bill,

We are a nation with a stronger soul, the opposite of what those animals intended.

Our Prayers for all those who lost loved ones and those brave men and women who unselfishly walked into deaths hands to save their fellow man.

God Bless and Keep You All.

Let's hope the $&#!suckers that did the deed (and their buddies back home we visited later and will keep visiting) are getting the most out their time in Hell. Let's also hope it's seemed like an enternity already. I know it seems that way for those missing their loved ones from the Towers and Pentagon.

Mr. Douglass, please allow me to remind you that there are millions of Muslim Americans, including myself, and I ask you kindly to please try to be more accurate in the directing of your revenge. At least one of us drives a Cobra replica and dislikes terrorists as much as you do, and I hope this is enough to convince you that I don't follow a "putrid, racist gutter religion".

Please.

Let's not forget the heroes who went down with the plane in western Pennsylvania. It sometimes seems they are not acknowledged as much. I only shudder to think what would have happened if that plane reached it's intended target... this country would be a much different place right now (more than it already is) if that plane had slammed into the White House or other goverment target.

It really annoyed me when the story came out recently about exactly what may have happened on that plane. I do understand that people want to know just for the sake of knowledge, but does it really matter whether the plane was physically brought down by the hijackers or by the passengers?? I shouldn't matter who was at the yoke when it went down, the acts were still heroic regardless.

My wife asked me last night if I thought anything would happen today: I answered: "A lot of sadness".

May we never forget, cb

September 11, 2001: A World Trade Center Survivor's Account

By Tilly (edited by Mike Austin)
http://www.hollywoodhalfwits.com/for...howtopic=14596

Editor's note: This is a true, first-person account, one story of survival of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. It comes from one of our occasional HHW posters, who uses the screen name of Tilly. She has understandably requested that her real name not be used. Although this is a lengthy article, we decided to let Tilly tell the story below in her own words what occurred on that terrible Tuesday morning, as hers is a personal yet profoundly affective story. We can better understand it has affected her, our nation, and the world, forever - we believe you'll be appreciative after reading it. We thank her for her generous permission to use her account, and think of those she mentions in it, as well as in our own lives, who were so affected that day.

SSS,

Its an day of remorse sometimes vented with anger - let it roll off.

A few days after 9/11, I went into a corner market and a Muslim woman was behind the counter - she was terrified - dropping change, averting her eyes from the customers. I thought 'She doesn't to be afraid - this is America' - then I realized the unfortunate truth.

I want them rebuilt. I still just can't believe they are gone.
I went back home to N.J. to visit my mom late that September. I had to go into the city. I needed to see it for myself to come to grips with it. It took over 4 hrs to walk the perimeter of the destruction. It was late in the day. I turned the corner and took this shot.

Do not EVER for one minute forget what got us to where we are today.

Default Mr. SSS

....then what I've been hearing and reading about the precepts of Wahhabist teachings, and what I have heard from two Sunni Arabs (one Kuwaiti and one Saudi) is all false? Seems what these fellows are saying is that this particular fundamentalist sect wishes, and actively SEEKS, the demise of Christianity and Judaism (and no doubt other "infidel" faiths).

If you are a Wahhabist, please correct the "facts" they related to me. Neither is a Wahhabist, and both say that it is among the least tolerant and most bloody-minded of the Muslim sects.
I will say that I think ALL religions have blood on their hands. I think also that their had their uses (and abuses) historically---but they more than met their match when science modernized. I am sorry if I raised your hackles, SSS, but I am not alone among Americans who really think "fundamentalist" religions ought to stick to themselves, proselytze only the willing and receptive and leave the rest of us alone. I for one think the damage they do FAR outweighs the good. Christianity with the abortion-Puritanism, Judaism with Zionist expansionism, Hinduism with the murder of young widows, and any other religion which displays intolerance, or worse, vicious, murderous ill-will----to me this stuff belongs in the Dark Ages.

Fie on all intrusive religions. And super-fie on the MURDEROUS ones. Your serve.
