The windshield glass popped out of the frame, so the short comp windscreen is going back on. I guess the 20 gallon tank was too small, so a 42 gallon tank is going in it's place. That's all I know.

Kris
Popped out? Did it hurt anyone or the car?
As for the tank,
That tank had a special high dollar road race pickup installed to alleviate the problem of sucking air in a corner. I worked with fuel safe in order to design it to perfection. I would suggest that it go into the 42.

The bottom portion of the glassthat runs along the cowl popped out. The glass didn't leave the frame, so knowone got hurt. It sounds more dramatic than it is.
I will let them know about the pickup.

Steve,,,I think I know how you feel. I've been giving SO many instructions to the guy that just bought my Excalibur about how to treat it........
Well,,,,I have to let it go now, but it's hard man. I'll get over it in time.

Ex
I guess in a perfect world I would have like to have seen 4027 remain in it's original configuration. In the beginning of the 4000 series things were different. There was a lot more tweeking to get it right than there seems to be now. The extra attention to detail even down to the correct cutting shape of the VHT sticker were done with a lot of research.
It would have been nice to run into it 20 years from now and see it as it was...
Oh well, on to the next.

I hope CSX4027 is in fact returned to it's original and ACCURATE glory!
