I don't think that was the car. It was coming from the other direction & had big letter goodyears.
|
That is the company he works for I believe.
|
Suppose it could be.... Car looked real accurate:confused: Thanks
|
That was Steve Dickey using Spotter Joes truck and trailer to take the cobra to DMV. Now see, if you had joined us Saturday at Hudsons, you would have known this.
Missed a good group, 21 Cobras, one was a 496cu/in Ford SOHC/4 webbers pumping 750hp. Nice car. Maybe see you next time. John Wais Tri-County Cobras |
Yes, That was me on my way to the CHP in Ventura. I will be one happy Guy when I get all this taken care of.
Spotter Joe, Thanks so much for the use of both your trailer and truck. I even made a few bucks installing some antennas you left in the back of the truck. I gave them your number and told them if they have any problems to give you a call.....:D Steve D***ey |
I know, I know!!! I need to get out more often!!! Maybe when the car is done I'll have more time to get out:D Nice lookin' car Steve:cool:

To all...
Thanks for your concerns!!!
Yes, that was a Telcom F-250 (Built Ford Tough) pulling a Telcom trailer with Steve D***ey's beautiful Black ERA # 606... I had doubts whether Steve's brand "x" suv would pull the Conejo grade... (LOL) BTW spotterjoe's Cobra is ERA # 323 and is "arrest me red" in color... Hope that clears up the confusion... Oh, I forgot and left some antennas in the back of the truck and Steve installed them for pocket money... Now the customers are complaining about the installation with dental wire... Jamo, am I responsible for Steve's workmanship??? (or lack thereof) Is my contractors license in jeopardy??? Do I have to pay Steve "prevailing wage"??? Is this a job for Charlie Stoll??? BTW, thanks for hooking me up... He was a great help on a labor matter... O'spotter |
Geez, we really didn't want to tell you like this, but Steve hired me to sue your ass off for back wages, and failure to provide worker's comp coverage for his injuries when he backed into one of those antennas. For a few moments, he was hearing voices from deep inside, which speaks highly for your system's strength.:JEKYLHYDE

Jamo,
I'm pretty sure I hurt myself installing one of those antennas. I wasn't able to go to work today. Can you tell I've just been reading the cover story in this weeks issue of Newsweek? Tongue Pirate, Thanks, I look forward to seeing your ERA one of these days. Steve D***ey |
It'll be finshed... Sooner than later I hope:D You likely won't be able to pry me out of it once it is on the road
|
I just bought a Toyhauler and believe I made a mistake. I should have purchased an open trailer and pulled it with my West Coast Custom Builders truck. It seems, after seeing how much net time the Telcom truck got, i.e. free advertising, it might be worth a try.
Cobra Bob from Ventura! |
Bob,
I'm going to need to borrow another trailer to take the car to the BAR. Now, I had already promised Slide I would borrow his, but if you are willing to sweeten the deal a bit...... say an enclosed trailer with a truck and you pick up and deliver I might be persuaded to borrow yours. Think of it as cheap advertising.:D Thanks for the picture, Steve |
Bob from Ventura
Not only did Telcom Communications in Oxnard get a lot of free air time but I got in a plug for "Built Ford Tough" Ford Power Stroke Trucks as well ... Bob, you just gotta learn the power on the internet!!!! Looking forward to seeing the "toy house"... It sounds great...
o'spotter:cool: |
Well, Steve always open to conversation, however I may want to wait and see how Telcom business does in the next few months. Then we can begin negotiations. Of course the waiting may backfire on me, knowing Spotter, he may doctor the stats a bit just to see what I will do with WEST COAST CUSTOM BUILDERS OF VENTURA, CA. specializing in custom building of all sizes.
"Everything we do is custom for you". |
Steve-
Have you cleared the major hurdle of registering your car? Did you send me the pictures of the Marine in my car? Later Bill D |
Bob,
You may already be too late. The list of people with trailers for me to drive is now about six months deep and the price has been skyrocketing! Bill, I sent both you and John the pictures I took a couple days ago- to your work e-mail address. If you didn't get them let me know and I'll send them off again. Steve |
