Default Shift Pattern on Knob Upsidedown

that correct...or should I say "original" (even though my 5 sp pattern isn't)? It looks kind of like this:

R 4 2

5 3 1

only each digit is 180 degrees rotated

Either you have the rare case of "Shifter Knob Dyslexia", missing adjusting nut, or grind down the end of your shifter 1/2 thread so the knob will go down 1/2 turn more.

I personally vote for the "Shifter Knob Dyslexia". Or is that "aixelsyD bonK retfihS"?????

This is what happens to my mind when I go to bed at 12:30 and wake up at 3:00.

Ron is correct. Your knob should have an adjust nut under it so you can set it to any angle and it is 180 degrees reversed. If you are missing the adjuster nut, you should be able to find one without to much trouble. Some knobs have a very tiny set screw in them that you get the knob where you want it and use a tiny allen wrence to tighten it. Maybe yours has that.
