Ok Gentleman...

Here is the straight scoop. I am the former CFO/Controller of Shelby, and have been unemployed since the end of May this year. I have been trying to find work since, but to no avail. I have no hidden agenda for being on here and asking any of the questions that I have so far. When I made a statement it was my own opinion and no one elses. I have no mandate from Shelby to be on here, nor would I do such even if asked. I came on here merely to have conversation, and to perhaps get some questions answered that I knew I could not get answered elsewhere. If you think that my being the former Controller/CFO of Shelby entitles me to anything special, then you are barking up the wrong tree entirely.

Hey Guys!

I hope all those guys from the Shelby American Inc thread might find their way over to this thread, and ask any questions of me that they might like. I do not believe I have to stir-up any conflict or dirt on here, because that seems to be handled by others on this forum.

I am not sure I would have any revelations about anything that has happen at Shelby in the past 5 years or so, but you never know.

I do know that I had a good time at Shelby, and that I was allowed to live out a dream for working with "The Man", and for the most part would not trade that for anything. The main thing I regret is not being allowed to come along for the "ride-up", after giving blood and sweat for 5 years to get there. The times at Shelby were never easy, but they are memorable.

I also know that I will go on to bigger and better things beyond Shelby, and althought I am not there yet, I know I will be.

Welcome back to the site! I have to say I always felt you were straight forward and honest with us and I thank you for it.

Ok, Deak.

Well done. I think the initial backflash to you in the other thread may have been avoided altogether if the above info had been included. It helps to know where someone is coming from when they open up a topic like "What's going on at Shelby?"

As I'm sure you know, there are folks who have axes to grind with Shelby and in my very short time enjoying Club Cobra, I've seen plenty of those folks come in with an agenda and spread alot of ugliness. I, and others, identified (mis-identified) you as one of them right from the start. I'm glad you've set us straight on your background and what you're trying to find out. Internet postings are easily used for gossip, cabal, and lies and folks tend to get a little prickly when they suspect that's what's going on in one of the CC forums. Unfortunately, postings can also be well-intended yet misconstrued. I hope that "A friend" and "mechanic" are paying close attention. If those guys have any integrity, they will be more forthcoming with both their background and intentions. I know I speak for alot of CC members when I say BS is not suffered gracefully here.

I have to say David that although sometimes it seemed that things were not exactly smooth between Shelby and Kirkham, that you and I seemed to have an understanding and shot straight with each other. I appreciate your kind words.

MT, I appreciate the words, and the understanding. I also hope that Mechanic and A Friend come straight with what they are looking to communicate on here. However, lets not be too quick to judge them before they get a chance to get out what they have to say, ok?
