As far a I remember, the ACE was never equipped with a V8.

yes, that one is an MG, while the red car above is a true AC ACE that someone has placed a small block Ford motor in. There is a difference.

If that is the car I looked at three years ago,(and I think it is) it is not too original, with suspension mods as well as a v- 8 conversion.....it was for sale then for $30.000...
As for the style ......i like it , but that hoop would have to go.

MG on Collector Car trader
Actually,
I think that the MG looks like fun. I have thought many times about dropping either a 302 or a Rover aluminum V8 in a chrome bumpered MGB. They actually fit totally under the hood. What a sleeper. Here are two photos of a beautiful one.
