Just out of curiousity,for those who just did the DMV thing,did the DMV require that you place a check in their hand before they would pick up the phone to get your SB100 number,or were you able to pay after?I would hate to think that I had just handed someone a check for several thousand dollars,only to be told to come back later because the phones are busy,or worse that they would call me.You couldn't exactly stop payment on it if you ever wanted to get registered in this lifetime.It would appear that DMV would have the"use"fees on a vehicle you couldn't "use",with no motivation to carry forward on your behalf, if this is the case.

Yes, I had all the paper work entered into the computer and the fees and taxes paid before they called. I was really worried that if I did not get a number the car would have to be sold out of State at a big $$ loss or left sitting on the garage for a year. It was true pucker time and I was worried.
