I guess that the only alternative is to become an illegal alien, get a free drivers license and welfare and then have any car you want as the state doesn't have any power to force them into compliance since they are illegal and aren't under state control. Wonder how long it will be until we have to buy only state approved cars and they will have to be turned in every other year for a new model. Anyone know of a 1945 - 1960 car that could use the Kirkham body and suspension. I looked back and we didn't have any smog at all up here until 1966. I bought a brand new 1965 Galaxie 500XL with 390 and 4 speed and all it had was a PCV valve. No inspections of any kind. then in 1966 they started the smog stuff as a friend got a 1966 Fairlane GT and he had the smog stuff on it. Anything before 1966 requires no every other year visual inspections. My Comet is a 65 and I don't have any problem with it and can put any motor in it that I want. Maybe if everyone would just quit registering their cars for a year or so the loss of money would wake these people up.


Jamo, I hope that your tree comes out without any damage. They are going to grind the big stumps out where all of mine fell. Said it was faster and easier to do that than try to get them out any other way.
