new guy wades in
hi guys,
another new guy here, following previous threads, i too am building a car with my son (he's 10). got a SV car back in Sept and am moving along not nearly as fast as i would like. clubcobra has been my only source for knowledgeable builders and many questions have already been answered.
i have to keep conviencing myself the building is is the fun part, and it is. i just keep seeing these great photos and become impatient.
i am currently involved with covering the firewall, wheel wells and nose area in aluminum. am almost ready to remove the body and start the drive train. after seeing the many posted pics i'm almost embarressed to submit photos at this early stage, but would appreciate any comments. i am curently living in mississippi, and as far as i know there are no cobra related clubs/organizations in this area. any tips on organizations in surrounding states would be appreciated.
your humble tyro

Outlaw,
Anyone who has or is in the process of building one of these cars understands exactly what you are going through. At times it seems like the car will never be on the road. It seems like every little task takes 10 times longer than you expected & that around every corner you will have more money to spend. Just keep at it! There is a light at the end of the tunnel & when you get there you & your son will be in the cockpit tooling around town netting tons of smiles, fresh air, thumbs up & memories in the making. It really helps me to take pictures at every point of progress & look over them about once a month to get a good feeling of progress. I feel for ya brotha!

Outlaw,
Welcome to the club and happy to have another Cobra nut. Don't get discouraged as most of us have gone that route. End result justifies the means so to say.
As for pictures, you can only attach one 30K or less per post, but you can put as many as you want in your gallery and then link them to the post. If you need help contact Ron (CW) or me and I can explain how to do it. Difference is Ron's works and half the time mine don't. Brent put in a test section for me to play in. In the gallery you can go up to 300K but it is better to stay aruond 100K if you can.

Hi there
Just finished my build after 15 months. Still need to get it painted.
But I'm having to much fun driving it around in white Gel coat.
Its summerr over here.
I can remember that first drive as clear as if it was last month. Hell it was.
Enjoy building.
Cheers
Bernie

Welcome! You are in the right place. CC has become like a second home to me and a big part of the Cobra experience. Put the pictures in your members gallery as suggested.

Welcome to the forum ... and don't worry 'bout being embarrased about posting pictures! I've got a whole website full of pictures of what I screwed up and then fixed. (I built two Cobras, one doing it wrong, and another doing right after I learned the wrong way!)
