Lighted Shift Knob
This is a spin off of a thread that starts "how to make your dash lights brighter" or something like that. I posted a photo of my Cobra with a lighted gear shift knob on that post that really helps illuminate the gauges as well as the interior.
Before I couldn't see a thing in my Cobra at night. Now I can read a map, find things inside the car, etc.
(I know, I know the Cobra purists are turning up their noses as they read this...I did keep my original knob and will put it back on for shows etc. )
This lighted one is just the nuts for everyday driving though. You can't see it very well from my photo in the other post, but here is a photo from their web site. I bought mine at Autozone for $20. It is battery powered so you do not have to hook it up to your 12 volt system. It comes in many colors. What you can't see from the photo, which is pretty cool, is that these shift knobs have a chrome strip separating the 2 sides that have the "Crystal" color.
They have several led's inside that light up pretty bright.
Anyway, thought someone else might like to see the inside of their Cobra at night. (and look cool doing it)

Hey is that one on the left "colorless"? i.e. - white light or something close? My car is all silver and black and let me tell you after spending 9 months trying to make damn sure every piece on the motor was black or silver, a glowing white shift knob could be pretty cool...
Yeah I turned my nose up when you first mentioned this, but that actually looks pretty cool....

Yes they come in grey or clear. Here is a website with tons of them. The clear is on sale for $49.00 however they are 20 bucks at Autozone

Do they have one that looks like a skull with red eyes? Does the shifter come with 18" wheels and a spoiler?

Those are great! They will go right along with my lighted toggle switches and the fuzzy dice hanging from my rearview mirror. I wonder if they make a lighted suicide knob for my steering wheel.
Why doesn't Enzo have stuff like this in his catalog?

Don't forget the lighted curb feelers, lighted "tire flyes" valve stem covers, 5,000 watt stereo with the neon rings around the speakers, those lighted windshield washer nozzles, and of course the mother of all accessories.....the under car neon kits!
(like I said, I keep my original knob for shows....by the way, how do YOU see in your Cobra at night Flashlights don't count

Hey, I don't want all that neon stuff to be seen from the outside! I don't want everyone to think I'm some kind of geek!
Seriously, those shift knobs are not a bad idea, the more I think about it. I might get one as soon as I memorize my shift pattern.
