My "nephew" Johan talked me into joining this forum. Looking forward to talking about Cobras and driving them again when the snow is gone. Had breakfast with Shelby a few weeks ago and he says hi to all Cobra enthusiasts.

Welcome to Club Cobra ! Sometimes we actually talk about the cars and everything, not just ***** like old women. Glad you learned to type , not easy is it !
|
Welcome! & post some pics of that 289 when you get a chance!

If CSX 2108 is George Stauffer, I have a suspicion that he may have a little more knowledge of Cobras and other cars than most of us.
I seem to remember a "small collection" at WGI about 10 years ago. But I have been wrong before. Cranky%/ |
Welcome! We can all benefit from the insights and perspectives of an "original" owner. I get bored with the endless debates on "real vs. fake," as well as the controversies surrounding continuation series CSX cars, but an original is undeniably an original, and that does get my attention.

I have some pictures but they are too big and I do not know how to make them smaller. Anyone ?
|
Johan,
Do you have Adobe Photoshop? If so, the menu allows you to change the size. Just click the size box and punch 3"X5". That works well on this site. |
I do not have that....
|
Johan:
go to www.downloads.com search for "Batch Image Editor" Its a free down load that will let you resize your pictures. WB |

Johan That's "Mr" Jamo. "Jaw-moe":3DSMILE: |
Thanks Mr Jamo, Captain Johan understands.
Can anyone identify the other two cars in the pic ? |
Weeeou!!! Nice Car! Me wants:cool:
|
I'll take a wild leap and guess that the car in the left foreground is a Cobra.:) Judging by the fender scoop on the one in the left foreground I'd say a Daytona Coupe...2286?
Welcome, Mr. S. Please expect many questions about Cobras of all kinds, MkII and IV GT40s, Shelby Mustangs, the relative interior temps of Daytona Coupes v. other enclosed racers, the accelerative abilities of RS200s, etc.:3DSMILE: Bob |
We have a winner ! George sold the coupe to Sam Walton, but that was the only picture I had of his 289 car, which was I believe, the winningest drag Cobra ever with 300 wins.
|
May i ask is the Cobra Daytona 427 Super Coupe in the collection?
