Question seeking beginer info...

Hello,
Im completly new to these cars. I am an avid motor builder but all have been in trucks (1 have rebuilt a 1.8L Isuzu, a 4.9L Ford and curently working on a 2.6L Isuzu), so im not a complete newbie to motors and such. Im just looking for general tech info to get me aquainted whith the car (to get a good knowledge base). Well thanks for any help, i hope to own one of these one day (im only 18 now so it will probly be a ways off...). Thanks

Default to be 18 again....

mepr,

Eighteen again, only if I knew what I know now, just kiddin. Most on the forum will assist in good solid advice for a build.

What technical are you searchng for? Pictures, books, etc?

What model;
1. 260/289 Roadsters
2. 289 Competition
3. USRRC/FIA 427 Competition
4. 427 S/C
5. 427 Roadsters

I didn't include the Daytona since it is so different from the rest of the COBRA clan.

well id kinda like to know what the basics of the models are. Stuff like what the specs on the drive trains are. I have also heard that the cobras are kit cars anymore as there were vary few of the original thing made. Is this true?

Hi Mepr:

I suggest that you take a look at my web bibliography of all books and magazines written on the Cobra. Get out and get the book Original AC ACE and Cobra by Rinsey Mills. Also notice the Car Builder's Handbook by McCleary and Curt Scott's "Complete Guide to Cobra Replicas".

If you click on the WWW button at the bottom of this reply you will go directly to my bibliography. Enjoy. Learning is more than half the fun... its part of the journey.
