Eric,
American Idol is NOT about Coca-Cola. They just pay to advertise, and if they can get some of the props, and furniture to show logos, that much better. The show is NOT about end tables or sofas.

Nothing wrong with what SPF is doing. It is being defended in here as if they did something wrong and got caught. Everyone pays for TV exposure one way or the other. If you don't get the coverage you would like, you buy the time, the slot or the show and do it yourself.

This ain't a National Geographic documentary, just a Dream Car Garage episode.

This editorial is brought to you by Kirkham Motorsports.

Yes, commercial television is supported by advertising. But, the better shows have more content than advertising. My problem with low-budget shows like DCG, is that it's 33% content and 66% info-mercial, and that's being charitable. It's painful to watch sometimes.

Of course, I suppose we shouldn't complain, perhaps it's better than nothing. These shows are low budget because of the low ratings. Only a very small percentage of the population is interested in shows like this, and it just so happens that we are that small percentage.

DCG advertisers

So who cares if they pay for an infomercial..crikey. its called business. Anway, Peter Klutt is a stand-up guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Barrett Jackson and Peter knows plenty about Shelby's for that matter but you don't see Shelby advertising there. 'bidness is bidness. BTW, my friend bought his first Shelby from Klutt some 12 years ago, sight unseen, knowing that what Peter does is 1st class, Grade A. I love his show, regardless of who advertises and who doesn't etc.

Hey some of those info mercials are interesting. Of course most are NOT, that doesn't mean all.

Two Guys Garage goes a little over the top with their "advertising" at times. I can only take so much after all.

But 60 minutes swears they didn't pay Michael Jackson a dime (directly anyway, always a loop hole there somewhere I guess).

Eric,
I did take it too serious because here I was thinking about buying one of them Cobra couches. You threw a monkey wrench into the whole thing.
Won't forgive you anytime soon for that.
