Cobra KID car
I've been searching for makers of child-sized Cobra roadster go-carts or go-cart bodies and can't find out who makes them. Not a single hit.
Who has a link for me? |
thanks Ron

Thanks Mr Bruce.

|

chuckn@big-w.com E mail me and I'll be happy to send a pic when I get to the shop tomorrow. Chuck |
Mr.Bruce,
You have some competition there fella! Ernesto, that is one pretty fantastic "toy"! Well done Sir! DV |
Ernesto,
That is awesome! Do you sell them? What engine is in it? It is amazing that you built that from scratch! You are very talented. There is a custom go-cart shop about 15 miles from my home that makes tons of go carts. 57 Chevys, Mustangs, Vipers, Prowlers, even Semis and Buses. I'll try to find the link and post it here. We bought a 32 roadster for parades and it works awesome. A Cobra would be about $1,200 with a 5 hp engine and electric start. |

Parts listing?
Ernesto...that little Cobra is awesome!
Can you help us out with a parts listing? I have a fiberglass body... Did you build the frame from scratch? Suspension parts? what are they from? wheels ? Tires? steering? differential? Thanks Tom |
Hello.
Thank you for your kind words. Well, I was trying to build and sell a couple of models, in order to make my “car builder dream” came true… but it’s a little difficult, while I’m living were I live. If I live in the USA, things it should be very easier. There is another idea about cars and related stuff. But my dream is still up.;) In fact, I’m making a new project about the same type of car. I’m starting to build a plug of a 3/4 scale Cobra 289 FIA in fibreglass also, (I was negotiating with a guy, to build them in aluminium, but the price is a little high) and I also find a guy who is able to build bodies in carbon fibre… I’m taking my time in the project, because I’m going to make them as close to the originals as I can. I already have many material, like pictures, drawings, models, etc. in order to do it like the original stuff. The chassis, is going to be as close to the original, as I can, including the suspension with the leaf spring and all the arms and differential, etc. If you are not thinking that I’m crazy, you will now do it… I’m also making a V8 model in the same scale… ;) Yes, I’m crazy. I’m using parts from other little engines that are easy to find here in Europe, but the block and the crankshaft are going to be build from scratch. Of course, the price of that little thing, is going to be high, but I intend to make only a few, and I think that there are many car collectors around the world interested. In fact, I already have two interested guys in France and Germany… ;) When I get some pics from it, I will post them to you all. Best regards from Portugal. Ernesto Freitas |
WOW!!!!!
ERNESTO YOU ARE ONE TALENTED MAN. I HOPE YOUR DREAM BECOMES REALITY SOMEDAY SOON! THAT IS THE MOST AMAZING "KID" CAR I'M SURE ANY OF US HAVE EVER SEEN! GOOD LUCK
GARY:D :3DSMILE: |
Ernesto,
The first link didn't work but the second one did. Thanks for showing us your little Cobra. Your son is very fortunate! What a beautiful job! |
Holy Crap!!!! :D :D
Ernesto, once my son is old enough, you need to let me know the price of one of those bad boys. I'll save up for it!! Steve |
Wow! Nice job. That doesn't look like any go-kart I ever saw when I was a kid.
Ernesto, do you realize the problem you've created for yourself? You've set the bar very high, wait until your son is old enough to drive- no telling what he's going to ask for. |
Aye Carrajo!!!! Competition!
Looks like we gots a gunfight! I suspect that both builders can satisfy all members offspring, just depends on which way you swing: Ernesto can build them for the Kiddie Waxer crowd. Mr Bruce can build them for the Kiddie Racing crowd. :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: |
Ernesto! That is one fine looking little machine! I am sure you can find a exporter for your product.
