I saw the rims you are referring to...

Let me ask you...why?

I tought they were just too much...like those rims with the bear in them or the flowers?

It took some searching but I found them. They are "yes" rims. Check with Mustangworld at sema 2000.

I wish I knew more about computers to copy the picture and post it here. By the way, how do you look at someones picture gallery here at the cobra club?
Hope this helps Debbie. :D

Cobra4Me 02-29-2004 11:51 AM

These rims were seen on a Mustang that Carroll Shelby was driving on the Rides program when the new Shelby Cobra was first introduced.

now, you like them?

Excaliber 02-29-2004 11:59 AM

Ha ha,,,Cobra4me might be onto something here. Just a little over the top for my taste.

Ernie

TerribleTed13 02-29-2004 12:00 PM

Cobra4Me, thanks for posting the pics!

casaleenie 02-29-2004 12:03 PM

Ernie,

Only a little????

Ron61 02-29-2004 12:04 PM

Ted,

To look at a members pictures just click on the camera icon in one of their posts or go to the gallery page and look up that members pictures.

Boy, I think those rims would take a little getting used to. But I am sure they would bring a lot of comments.

no problem.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I love cobras, so much that my license plate bezel has cobras in it:

:D :D

but these rims will take it over the top!

MAXVELO 02-29-2004 01:23 PM

EEEEK!

DAMN THOSE THINGS ARE UGLY AS HELL! Maybe they look better spinning! Speaking of "spinning" I think Id rather have a set of spinners (the ones that spin when your parked) on my Cobra, and I hate Spinners!!!!! :( %/ %/ YUCK!!!!!

REDSC400 02-29-2004 02:19 PM

NOT my cup of tea.
Gack.

G.R. 02-29-2004 03:49 PM

Brings to mind the Tuner/ricer type of rim---the gaudier it is the better the tuners like it--

I went to the Seattle Roadster show this weekend, and as they did last year, from noon to ? on Sat---there was a tuner/ricer show---not really putting down these guys---they put as much care and performance in their cars as we do -- Generation gap --
There was a Acura there that had around 550Hp---not to shabby out of a 4 cyl--and boasted a 15,000watt sound system, neon lighting on everything--- to me gaudy as hell -- but this is what these guys drive, what they customize-- not the American muscle we like. And I truly think that some of these Ricers would embarass a Cobra in the right situation.

MAXVELO 02-29-2004 05:29 PM

EMBARASS A COBRA?

I THINK NOT! I CAN STILL ADD NITROUS & SLICKS!!!!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT!:3DSMILE: :D :3DSMILE:

G.R. 02-29-2004 10:45 PM

"WHEN YOU HAVE MORE HORSEPOWER THAN YOU NEED IT IS STILL NOT ENOUGH"

SOME OF THE TUNERS FEEL THIS WAY ALSO:LOL: **) like I said Generation Gap;) I don't think I'd want to go one on one with that Acura though--might be embarassing;)

MAXVELO 03-01-2004 06:32 AM

tuners????

I guess with a 289 I'd think twice also.... Doh!

flipper35 03-01-2004 02:22 PM

A lot of the ricers here just cut the springs, add a big wing and call it good. Small bumps on a turn upset the cars something fierce and it makes me worry. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate any car well done. It's just that a lot of these kids don't understand how things work or care what is safe or unsafe as long as it looks 'cool' or 'sick' or whatever the trendy word is today.

Lowell W 03-01-2004 02:55 PM

The wheels...for goodness SAKE!!!

Uh huh, I'd be embarrassed to be in the same parking lot with a car with wheels like that, no suspension and a 15,000 watt stereo. Oh yeah...and NOSS!
