You may now embed YouTube videos at Club Cobra!
The same as using the img tags, you can now use "yt" and "/yt" enclosed in []. So, the embed code will look like this
Quote:
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BfowE7qnqlM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BfowE7qnqlM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
All you need from all that to put between yt and /yt (with the brackets remember, like the img tags), is "BfowE7qnqlM"
Here's a sample:

This is a great new tag that Brent has added to the system... it will make sharing videos-to-view a lot cleaner, since the video will show in a panel right inside your post...as opposed to the old way, where a URL link had to open a new browser window in order to view the video.
Here is a simple How-To to get you started:
First, go to
YouTube and find the video that you want to include in a post.
If you look in the Address bar of your browser...you will see the link for your video.
The coded number after the
watch?v= is the library file number of the video you are currently viewing.
Just highlight all after the
v= , by click-and-dragging across the number.
Now, point to the highlighted area and right-click, then choose Copy.
You have now "grabbed" the video file name.
Next, go start the post where you want to share the video.
At the point in the post where you want the video panel to appear, set up a set of YT tags...one without the slash...one with, as shown
Last...point your cursor right in between the tags and right-click, then choose Paste
Now Submit the post and ...bingo...imbedded video.
Have fun..

I posted some video on youtube for the buyer of my engine. I did this because I wanted him to see & hear the motor at cold start up, idling, warm up, highway and getting on it a little. I could not hold the camcorder and get on the gas at the same time of course but, again, at least he could hear it.
(...no "=" just the YT tags and all after the "=" between them....cw)
No = sign. THANK YOU.

I would but, he has no internet connection at work. He'll just have to wait until he gets home. He's very excited about the engine.
