Nice to see the Aurora getting alittle recognition. I am very much the slabside fan and own Aurora #27 and have made numerous changes to the car to make it more CSX like. Every time I pull into a local show or meet the Aurora slabside grabs alot of the attention away from the SC replica's with most going "wow, look!a real AC!".
I've had more then a few guys argue with me that it's not a replica .
The body IS an exact replica of the second CSX 260 car and was pulled from that body with the side vents added and with all the added 80's DOT stuff removed (5 m.p.h. bumpers and sidemarkers) is really quite a nice machine to look at.
I went the Aurora route because...there really weren't any affordable slabsides offered and the Aurora has the looks of the slabside but with a coil over independent set up and is a blast to drive.
I've been waiting for the day that someone offers a well sorted out, well built for the US market slabside for something less then the cost of a small home.
Enough from me...I could ramble on and on about this subject.
