OK, I will look at the forum and I will see if my financial condition allows me to go. I went for a drag race in Poland with the Cobra the last week-end of June ,I already made many other events in 2007 and had some mechanical problems and so, many $$$$ spent..

Tell me you are kidding?

This string should have stopped with bnewell's post.

I'm amazed that he received a few good suggestions. On Friday night we alway eat out with the Cobra guys & gals. Last Friday night my wife did not want to go in the Cobra because "something might get in her eye". We drove her SUV.:(

my hair isn't terribly long, but it is very layered, and after even just a little while my hair looks like a wild afro!!

I usually wear a ball cap. I have on occasion worn a 'safari style' hat with a strap under the chin, and a wide brim. Works well when it is so hot and sunny here in Dallas.

After suffering from stray hairs whipping across my eyes (it hurts!!) I finally went to the harley store and bought some WONDERFUL sunglasses. They are regular looking sunglasses, not goggles, but have a foam liner all the way around the edges. Keeps hair, dust, grass, little gnats etc. from getting to my eyes. They weren't cheap, but for $70 I got the glasses, a pouch, and best of all? a set of clear lenses that pop in and out very easily. Makes using them at night possible. They stay in my Cobra.

I have great sunglasses, not very costly ($59-$69). They were designed for airplane pilots and they can even be used as safety glasses. Besides that, they can be used over a pair of corrective vision glasses. They come in different shades and the yellow ones increase the contrast in dust or fog.
They can be bought on Internet. They are called "Zurich" sunglasses. I have 6 pairs of them . They give a protection against dust and wind. No more red eyes with them.

Bourret,

Finish your story about being stuck at the gas station waiting on your Electronic Ignition in your journal.

My wife has the same type of hair

and the same complaint. Rare occasions she will ride will me in the Cobra. This last Friday night we took the Cobra out to eat dinner. Life was good. She had her hair pulled back and wore a cap.

when i first got my car, seven years ago, and over a hundred K miles ago, Wife rode in it twice, and has refused to ever ride again.

She hasn't sat in the passenger seat since the spring of '00.

Ah well,

Jamo 07-17-2007 12:01 PM

jaysusfreekingcristos!!!! Three freeking pages?

Next time she b!tches, grab her head by that long hair and stuff her face in your lap. That'll take her head out of the wind, stiffle the yaking and put a smile on your face.

Why in the he!! do you think we have these backwards shifters and no passenger roll bar or shoulder straps?

Seriously, Cheerleader (long hair, btw) can't wait to go someplace in the Cobra, and has done so for years in both Cobras and the Vettes with the tops off (not hers...well once, sort of). What a bunch of BS...leave 'em home if they're gonna complain.

I was actually responding to the other Fred. But it looks as if both Fred's are appropriate for my comment/question.

Jamo, I'm curious. What was the longest period of time you were with the same wife (or girlfriend as the case may be)? %/

Amazing! I didn't think any female could have that good of a sense of humor.:JEKYLHYDE

It must be tough living on the left coast with your sense of humor and all those extra sensative girly men prancing around.

I just turn my hearing aid off when wife is with me...can't hear a word she says.
When I bought my Cobra, wife(short as she is) got in the drivers seat and said she could'nt reach the pedals...I said oh darn. She bought the seat adjuster for me for Christmas...is this July already and it still isn't installed...oh darn.
