Just my 2 cents, really research the difference between the SR and the R, I know people with both and depending on what you want it for, (and I mean how you wanna play on the street), you may actually prefer the 402R. I have the 402R and a friend had the 402SR,(GT40) he swapped it for the R because of his driving habits. So continue to ask around. I agree that the Rousch is the way to go with warr, resale and customer srevice!! Good Luck- RYan

3.8 sec's once, other than that, low 4's. Stock BF tires on my SPF (actually original rubber). It really is about the drivers ability and experience. I know many people keep saying it, but until you actually try it and experience first hand all the nuances that goes into driving one of these cars under hard acceleration, it is hard to fully appreciate. The Cobra is the one car where I read about folks wanting not just more HP all the time, but some actually want less. For street driving, the 0-60 Mph is most compelling for me and my geo.

JustaSix, another 'ringer', nice car but hardly a typical replica Cobra. Buick V6 dry sumped and full drag race prepared motor/car. Last I heard he was going to add a bottle and was hoping to break into the 9's! Small motors better? Depends on your interpretation I guess, Honda four bangers run in the 6's (ya think there a ringer?).

I have Roush 427R-095 in my SPF, but have added about 70 or so wheel HP over that of how it was delivered. It's about 475 corrected wheel HP on a Dynojet.
Given DA around 500 ft 60 ft time around 1.8 seconds easy start without spin after rolling normal city roadway with unheated drag radials. 0 - 60 mph in the high 2 second range 0 - 100 mph is in the low 6 second range 0 - 130 mph is about 10 flat Higher DA makes the times slower. Lower DA makes the times faster. |
