Speedometer Cable

I need to get a speedometer cable for my set-up - Autometer speedometer with a T5 transmission out of a Mustang. I did a search & didn't really find the answer to my question.

Can I just go to NAPA or some other parts store & get a cable for a Mustang with a T5 tranny?

Randy,

You will need to get the driven gear also if you don't already have one. As for getting the cable for a Mustang, they may be a little longer or shorter than you need. They make a universal cable that you can tailor to fit about any length and they can be found in any good auto parts store. And the Mustang cable may work length wise. You could always take something flexible and run it the way your cable is going to go from the speedometer to the tranny and then measure the length of it.

Thanks for the help Ron, guess I'll make a trip to my local NAPA store, been there quite often during my build.

Now when I walk in the store they ask "what do you need for the Cobra?".
