Fair price for a 1965 Hertz Clone ??
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d..._Hertz_066.jpg
Looking at this car what would be a decent price if its mint or lets say on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being best its a "7" I have not seen car in person so as of now I am going only by photos.. I have not been following these so I am in the dark as far as values go.. I guess I should of bought a new one back in the 60's only problem was I was flat broke..although I did have a good job making $2 bucks an hour for AT&T I almost felt guilty about being over paid.. something about being paid what I was worth:CRY: |

The sad part is I don't even know what you edited.. half-heimers setting in, I wonder how I will be when I turn 50..

...but your original title was "Fair price for a 1965 Hurst Clone ??" :) |
6 Demerits for not even having the title right.
Hurst? Did Linda Vaughn own this thang????  |
I'am sorry I forgot to take all of my pills today.. can I have another chance
|
Ah... Linda Vaughn
That's it. No more work today. :) :) Mike |
are we still on the hurst or the hertz ? LOL >.
value, man, like what is it ? the value depends on the quality of the resto , body, underpinnings, engine ,trans and you know the drill. could be anything from $8k to $25 k , depending on what it is today . the list of what is on my 66 gt 350 Hertz clone convertible and awards won is L O N G , and i would have a hard time putting a sale price value on my own car. lots of info needed before anyone could give an answer - i am sure mr mustang bill s will chime in here at some point . 8K to 25K That sounds about right.. like I said on a scale of 1-10 with a 10 being damn perect with correct parts etc..would be around 25k This one the guy wants to much then.. is it a Hertz with a Hurst shifter or a Hurst with a Hertz emblem, damn now I am confused... I do remember the Hurst Olds back in the 60's.. but I can't remember if Hertz rented them out..

What ever you are willing to pay for it, and how bad you want it. :)

How much for my Avis clone?

As long as you're editing, you might as well change "1965" to "1966" since there were no 1965 Hertz rental Shelbys......:) |
FWIW, there are two '66 Hertz replicas in Northern California for sale. One is priced at $45,000 and the other is asking $55,000. Now, allegedly, the one asking $55,000 has 4-wheel Baer brakes, a supercharged 351W, 9"/31-spline axles, coil overs at 4 corners, roll bar, R-model gauges, power rack & pinion steering, 17" PSE wheels, etc., etc. The one priced at $45,000 isn't worth it, in my humble opinion. I'm not the seller, nor am I in any way related to the sale. The quality of the replica, as with Cobras, will determine the price point. Rodney
