Anybody seen this video??

Hi all, saw this on u tube today and was wondering if anyone knows this person/car. I was just concerned about the lady driving and hoping she is ok. I was wondering what actually happened, did the accelerator get jammed or something? The main thing is, IS SHE OK? car can be fixed!

Clearly the lady is new at driving manual cars, (or drunk!) but.....a little lost for words.

Looks like the road was wet and when she hit the gas it just got loose and she never recovered. As mentioned you hear someone say "she ok" She was probably really shook up I bet she will never forget that ride!

Yes, she is OK. It is her car. Only fiberglass and cooling system damage.

Cold tires
Damp road
Run the tires thru a puddle
Unfamiliar with the car? (maybe)
Nail the loud pedal
Crash the car

Glad to hear she is ok.
This is not the car one wants to learn a stick on. She was either a rookie or DUI? Either case she had no business in that car. She would have been better off starting out with the stick in a 4-Banger. Thankfully she only involved a parked car.

This is why insurance is hard to get on these cars.

Fred Z 08-15-2007 11:30 AM

help!

Did someone try to qualify her driving experience in that car? For such simple thinking up front........might have helped the situation!
At least she is ok.....but what a waste!!!!!!!
don't really get it..........AND......the guy KNEW it was going to happen!

what have we been saying for the last number of years, threads, etc.....about these cars and the drivers who are in them?

Man was THAT stupid!

CBattaglia 08-15-2007 12:31 PM

When she barked the tires 3X before leaving the parking lot, someone should have ripped her out of the car. As soon as she rolled through the water I knew it was over.

When I hit a damp spot the car kicks sideways, nevermind a puddle. That is grounds for divorce in my book.

I am sure the guy from Midwest classic insurance, has noted.

JWheaton 08-15-2007 06:17 PM

She is lucky she did not hit the on coming car. I like the comments under the video discussing if it is a real Shelby and the difference between Replica and Kit cars. :JEKYLHYDE

WildBill3 08-15-2007 06:55 PM

yea i noted that to,a large parking lot with noone in it would have been safer of corse she might have built up enough speed to do herself in...

Wammy 08-15-2007 06:59 PM

Probably why insurance on these is becoming a problem, cause of stupid crap like this.....

rbray 08-15-2007 08:01 PM

This is why people don't want to insure our cars anymore.
Who the hell can blame them!!!!

Three Peaks 08-15-2007 08:11 PM

I don't want to sound sexist but that is one woman who should have NEVER been allowed behind the wheel of a Cobra, or any fast car for that matter. What a doofus!

hi-tech cobra 08-15-2007 08:43 PM

...We're you boozing, sucking back on grandpa's old cough medicine? Give me that booze, you little pumpkin pie hair-cutted freak.

Blas 08-15-2007 08:49 PM

Hope she's ok....
Cars can be fixed...

RedBarchetta 08-15-2007 09:58 PM

Now that was special! I don't know who was dumber, the husband that handed her the keys or the wife behind the wheel...

emberglo66 08-16-2007 05:59 AM
