Friday Concorso

Anybody see this? A fairly new Baby Lambo that was covered with that clear plastic film then hand painted like a big tattoo.

Morgans Car

Basically I am practicing my picture wrangling at the expense of Morgans' fine car. Best in the lot! Very clean and "right". First Fiberglass Kirkham I have ever seen. Must have been alot less money.

I tried to post some pics last night but they were too big, if I find out how to "small" them I will. I had my pic with Leno too and saw Chip Foose also. John Morton was there racing the white Tiger, he raced the 427 prototype back in the day, does anyone know what happened to that car? Is anyone from around NorCal going to the Shelby mininats in a few weeks?? Bruce

Jamo, very nice pics. Great view from wherever you were. :)
i have this pocket sized digital for all my Cobra events; but those were taken with a REAL camera. They just look so nice! :)

Met a couple of really nice Gashole gang members at the Comfort Inn Saturday morning (whose names went in one ear and out the other ... don't feel bad, that's a common occurence with me.) Beautiful green SPF & red CSX roadsters.
The event is pure magic. I'm very lucky to have a wife who is not only beautiful, but loves me enough to endure the decibels and race fuel fumes.
At Sunday's end, she wistfully said, "I don't WANT it to be over."
What's not to love?
My favorite event of the year, hands down.

Jamo 08-20-2007 11:15 PM

Durt...you met Morgan (red CSX) and Richard (green SPF), both from Fresno. Yup, good guys!

Durt 08-20-2007 11:22 PM

Richard's co-pilot was a reprobate whose picture I've seen on these pages. Distinguished gray with moustache. Dave? Very nice fellow, indeed.
Hope to meet you at future events as well.
I found it odd that there was no mention of Dick Smith or Mac Archer in the program or from the booth. I sure as hell missed them.

Jamo 08-20-2007 11:32 PM

I thought the same thing...some others had passed as well. I can't imagine a single page with a list of folks who had left us would've increased the printing costs too much. Dick and Mac were there damn near every year. Oh well, someday we'll all be forgotten.

I guess one's financial provenance carries more gravity on the peninsula than one's actual passion and sweat.
C'est la vie.

Thanks for sharing those great pictures, Ron.

Durt: If she talks like that she's a keeper!

Lynn Park and friends' group of Cobras all had "Mac Archer 22" stickers on the back of their Cobras; I think the Edelbrock GT 350s driven by Christy and Camee had the stickers, too.

Jamo,
Thanks for the tips on downsizing, will give it a try. Also I wil try and keep it to one question at a time. Hope to meet some of you Cobra owners some time here in NorCal. Bruce

Jamo 08-21-2007 11:33 PM

Looking forward to it, Bruce. ;)

OK, I hope this works. Here is one of my 280 pics from the Historics. Thanks for the help on resizing, I guess you are never too old to learn new tricks. Bruce
