"Lost in the Sixties"
Well, "Back in Black" by AC/DC was the song for my first cobra (it was black with silver stripes). I couldn't find a good song for this one, so I did a slight change on the Ronnie Milsap song "Lost in the Fifties", and made it "Lost in the Sixties"...worked for my '65 XKE roadster too.

While I don't race my Cobra, I still like "Give me your best shot". Somehow it just seems like an appropriate song for these cars.

I'm just happy to keep hearing 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

hehe, Clay....
you stumped me for JUST A SECOND! how about a song???? ;) :D |
I have a skull for a key fob, and my car's theme song is
"Don't fear the Reaper" by BOC. A not so subtle reminder to myself, and a warning to others :). |
To me the 60's Rolling Stones empitimize the Cobra as they were the bad boys of Rock & Roll from the era. Songs like Jump'in Jack Flash, B I T C H, Get off my cloud, Paint it black are perfect Cobra songs.
|
How about "Crash into me" by Dave Matthews Band...
or "Trouble Me" by 10,000 Maniacs... ...Sorry, couldn't help myself. |
Shut-up & Drive!
I think I want to change my Cobra's theme song to:
Rihanna "Shut Up and Drive" "I've been looking for a driver who is qualified So if you think that you're the one step into my ride I'm a fine-tuned supersonic speed machine With a sunroof top and a gangster lean So if you feel me let me know, know, know Come on now what you waiting for, for, for My engine's ready to explode, explode, explode So start me up and watch me go, go, go, Get you where you wanna go if you know what i mean Got a ride that's smoother than a limousine Can you handle the curves? Can you run all the lights? If you can baby boy then we can go all night Goes from 0 to 60 in three point five Baby you got the keys- Now shut up and drive (drive, drive, drive) Shut up and drive" (drive, drive, drive) jdog |
I get the impression she's not really talking about a car...

Theme song du jour: "Rockstar" by Nickleback
|
What?

 jdog:o P.S. What a Tramp!;) |
Hey, if you think THAT Rhianna song was sexy, check out "Feelin' Love" by Paula Cole...
Whew!!! If "Feelin' Love" won't start your motor, they might as well just bury you. DD |
Even though my Cobra is black (as in "Paint it Black"), I gotta go with "Shaft", by Isaac Hays.
|
"Bad Motor Scooter" by Montrose
|
Being a child of the 60's in SoCal, the only one that really fits is Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys. Everytime that motor starts, that's what I feel. Although sometimes I feel like Pipeline... by the Ventures and other times, Ray Charles 'what'd I say' pretty well describes the feeling.

"If you think that you can cut it, if you think you got the time,
You'll only get just one chance, better get it right first time, 'Cause in this game you're playin, if you lose you got to pay, And if you make just one wrong move, you'll get BLOWN AWAY!'' "Expect No Mercy" by Nazareth |
Hmmmm, decisions...
"Detroit Rock City" KISS "Runnin' with the Devil" Van Halen "You Shook Me All Nite Long" & "Back in Black" AC/DC "B@lls to the Wall" Accept Couple more, and I could have one for each day of the week... |
mp3here is my song[/url]
