Whats your theme song?

I was reading Kristin's post about her cars and the songs that she has given to them as a "theme" or a statement about each one and i thought to myself that I had done the samething. I think it is interesting to see how the songs have changed for each car. I wonder what that means?

My B&B cobra was " My 409" by the beach boys. That car HAD a radio so I could actually listen to it while I cruised around. This car was my first cobra. I really didn't do track events.

The next car was the "98" car from Hurricane. That was "Dr Feelgood" from Motley Crew. The irony is that the car had more engine trouble than any car I have ever had!

The Kirkam FIA was "To hot to Handle" by the black crows. When you here that song you have to go fast! Awesome car, great theme song!

The GT 40 has been plagued by the reoccurance of "Hell's Bells" By AC/DC. Everytime I am in the garage working on the car I hear that song. That song is loud, raw, screaming, head banging, wave your fist in the air, kick your ass good. That is my GT40.:JEKYLHYDE

Anyone have similar theme's?

Did a 73 mustang Mach1 to Born to be wild.

The Cobra has a nice mix of ACDC, Queen, Black Sabeth, Zepplin, Van Halen and a few others.

But, I imagine the theme from Jaws if I am on the freeway and two ricers are playing around...say four to eight cars ahead. I like to be behind someone and watch for a little while and them pull up behind one of them.

:D :D

I got your song Dean

Dlampe It's and oldie but a goodie. "there going to take me away HA-HA"" or the " I can't drive 55mph. Sammy song. I was also looking for a grass cutting song or shortcut song for the short course road racing last year. How about Smoke gets in your eyes? Not yet.;) Just a thought. Rick Hope to see you in a couple of weeks. Motor is apart

thanks for posting the thread, Dean. :)

Hey little Cobra by the Rip Chords. I think my FIRST track day at TMS it looks like i'm 'winning the race' in the infield. (in the photo) What really was happening was you aren't allowed to pass in the infield and i had this lovely little trail of CORVETTES right behind me.... Patiently waiting for the first legal opportunity to pass me. The chorus of that song has the driver of the Cobra killing the corvettes and jaguars, so i just kinda took it on then. Of course it 'fit' when snakeeyes came up with my handle in the first place. Not that my cobra is little (not a sb) but it just seemed to fit me. Thanks Bob! :)

the '65 Mustang. Well of course I picked Mustang Sally. The words of the song don't quite fit, but I love the sound of Wilson Pickett- the original artist doing that song. Smooth, rough, a mix of sooo many things. "I bought you a brand new mustang... a nineteen sixty five.... all you wanna do is ride around Sally.... Ride Sally, Ride!" And, she does all the driving- not him! that's definitely the story here at my house. :p

The new 500. I spent an hour or more going through websites with Mustang Songs. I found one- Shelby Ford Blues by Al Blake- but the words just don't fit. :( I liked the title though. Great song, nice sound.
Then i found My Mustang Ford by Chuck Berry- but it's about a cherry red '66. nope.. didn't fit either! I really liked Go Mustang by the 'triptides', i like that surfer sound- but couldn't find a 45 or LP ANYWHERE on the web. so....
i jumped in with Wild Wild Mustang by Dick Dale. Haven't listened to all the words, but it'll work ok. :)
in fact, something about 'sitting at the line...' might go out with the dallas boys and take the 500 'to the line'. :D :D :D
Redline Raceway. ;)
so there ya go! :)

My theme song is the rumble of the exhaust pipes. If I did have a radio in the Cobra, it would only be able to get "oldie" stations from the 60's. I'm not sure what song ... maybe "Sittin' on the Dock", or something from the Bee Gees, or Otis Redding, Beach Boys ... maybe a hot Motown tune ... hmmmm Aretha Franklin maybe. Oh, the list goes on and on.

I've always liked Sammy Hagars 'I cant drive 55'....no matter what car I'm in.

But I grew out of that phase years ago, of course.

title's

Songs have changed with my mood and the Cobra:

First song that came to mind today was:

Bet you didn't think I knew how to Rock and Roll....Eric C lapton

Another time it was John Kays version of White Line Fever

and then

it was the Beatles slow version of Revolution

well here is another one I really like to listen to when I am going on a ride or getting back (no radio-just the sweet hum of the sidepipes):

TRAVIS TRITTS Feeling alright

just makes me feel good about most things..(looked in the mirror and what did I see a Lone Wolf stranger staring back at me...)

I just like my battle scared Cobra with all the rock chips and bent spoiler, I consider the Cobra a lot like me with a little more charachter and a lot more attitude.
