You don't need to rap the body. Aluminum and fiberglass sound very similar when being rapped. What you do is feel the inside of the wheel well lip. If it has a bead it is 99% of the time aluminum. If no bead it is fiberglass. CSX4027 is the only fiberglass car that replicated the wired edge

Guys have glassed in wire or rod to get that "feel"

If there was a buyer, like was said, he got a helluva deal, regardless.
