You don't need to rap the body. Aluminum and fiberglass sound very similar when being rapped. What you do is feel the inside of the wheel well lip. If it has a bead it is 99% of the time aluminum. If no bead it is fiberglass. CSX4027 is the only fiberglass car that replicated the wired edge

Ya, but carbon fiber can be made as thin or thinner. It doesn't even dent.
