Ok, I received 1 (one), e-mail notification from here that someone had posted in a thread I am in yesterday but not another since and none for the week or so prior to that. But the fact that one got through would seem to rule out my ISP having blocked them. Also none for the threads that I am in that have been posted to today or for the PM that I had.

Ron...do you want to try an experiment?

Pick up another e-mail account off of one of the freebies. (hotmail or gmail)

Put that in your profile for a week and see if it makes a difference

Ron,

I had been wondering about that but if I do that will it interfere with my regular e-mail? What I mean is can I have two separate e-mail programs working at the same time. I can make sub-accounts and assign throw away names to them that end with @Yahoo.com instead of the @sbcglobal.net and I have used them in the past to end messages to people that I don't want to keep hearing from. Once our business is over I just delete those addresses and suspend the sub-account until I need it again. Yahoo is in the middle of upgrading the e-mail program which means it won't work right for a few months once they turn the new improved version up.
I am more than willing to try this if I can do it correctly and it won't interfere with my regular e-mail program. Please let me know if I can do this and not have to delete my regular e-mail program as I have that address all over the darn country.

Ron

Bill Gates must hate you. You using Win XP Pro?

Why not try my old Win95 machine and a dial up modem.

I'll send you a few jokes via e-mail in a couple of minutes ... let me know if you get them.

Don't overthink this..it is a very simple experiment.

Just sign up for a web-based Non-yahoo email, like Hotmail or Gmail.
Nothing is done to your computer...you check this email on the corresponding website... you do not have to configure an e-mail client.

All you have to do is change the e-mail address in YOUR profile on CC and see if you start getting notifications from CC to the new address.

Ron,

Thanks for the suggestion. I already have G-Mail set up and have put that e-mail address in my CP. I have a feeling that Yahoo is the problem as they are upgrading the e-mail program again and they won't talk to a subscriber at all. If I get notifications on the G-Mail then it has to be Yahoo blocking them. I should know in a short time. If it is Yahoo, I really don't know what to do as they refuse to talk to a subscriber and demand a site administrator to tell them the notifications are legitimate. After all these years you would think they would know they are.

Ron & Brent,

Everything works great when I have the G-mail address in but when I tried to change back to my regular address the dam Yahoo server wouldn't even let the confirmation e-mail through. Brent was kind enough to activate my account but anyone trying to e-mail me through the club I won't get it. I have spent 7 long frustrating hours with the dam AT&T so called 2 tier techs and they won't even call Yahoo as they claim they can't. I told them they have did it in the past and I have been on 3 way calls with them. Then they said they had to have a 4 digit account number which I have never heard of. After numerous ways of trying to contact Yahoo, I was told very flatly they will not talk to anyone but a site administrator or ISP tech. This started two weeks ago after Yahoo one night loaded their dam new and improved version of the e-mail program into my module and nothing would work at all. I had to get a 2nd tier tech to put the e-mail; back to the original one and everything worked except the e-mail from CC. All other sites work ok. I guess if Brent ever has time he is the only one that can possible talk to those morons and get them to look at the problem. God, I hate YAHOO.
