Privacy Policy
Brent,
I just got off the phone with a potential customer and asked him where he had heard about Kirkham Motorsports. He told me that he had learned about us on Club Cobra. I told him great! and asked him what name he posted under. He told me that he was a long time lurker, had never seen Club Cobras privacy policy and was reluctant to register in fear of getting more spam... I told him that I had never had a problem, but would ask...
What is Club Cobras privacy policy?

..don't know what the privacy policy but I can honestly say that, to my knowledge, I've never had any spam that I felt originated from my activity on this forum/board.
Ya listenin' Mr. Lurker??

When did spam become something to fear? I've been under the impression spam is a Delete keystroke thingy.
Anyone with a testosterone level high enough to purchase a Cobra could certainly manage an occasional tussle with spam.

Possible Spam
The only spam I could possibly tie to Club Cobra would be offers for "replica" Rolex (or some other designer brand) watches. I have no way of knowing if my name and email were picked up here but I thought that maybe it came from the Real versus Replica discussions that erupt here every once in a while.
I really don't care because my spam filter sticks them in a junk email box with all the other crap. I go in there once or twice a week, check to make sure that a valid email isn't there, choose "all", then hit the delete key. I love McAfee.

No spam for me either - although the distance across the pond could be
blocking it. Yeah right! 5 years +

How would one know where the spam came from? I get spam, but how does one trace it back to its origins?

Tell him that if he buys a Kirkham you'll throw in a complimentary yahoo mail account for him. Kind of like when Peter gave me a free Christmas ornament when I bought my ERA.

No problems except for an occassional spam e-mail from some guy called Ron61 and some crossdressing animal lover named 392Cobra.

Please allow me to introduce myself...since Tom has drug me out of the closet (garage?). I am the long time lurker Tom refered to. I have enjoyed the the technical knowledge and humor shared here on Club Cobra for years (having much more to learn than to share). So I would like to thank everyone for the generosity with which they have taken the time to help more people than they may realize. Personal note to Tom...next time we talk remind me to tell you some of my deepest & darkest secrets so you can post them on a public forum somewhere! I think i'll wait a few days before I ask "which is better... a small block or a large block?..."
