Now that there's some patina. I'd like to see sammich and da boys fix that!
Ron...start runnin now. :p I would've flattened it. |
Jamo,
I bet you could keep Ron on his toes. I think that is what they call an excessive amount of patina! It would be a challenging one to fix but not much is beyond Sandwich's talents. :):):) |
I watched sandwich work on one at the bash. He ould do it easily.......
|
Jamo, You know the thousands of miles of canyons and forests we have up here. Would you prefer that I run toward Fresno where we both know the area better? Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
David,
Did you end up painting it, too? |
David, About the cars!
Full on running? Both the exact same? Any other Kirkham shots in the movie? Besides the big crunch? What was the subcontractor/ supplier you worked for? Sounds like it was fun. |
My two cents aswell: They keep the cars and piles of cars until the DVD's come out just in case they need to make a couple of more shots and to keep control. Most contracts have a buy back clause for the subcontractor that provided the cars- typically a nominal fee. Then the succontractor sells them off- I bought the angeles Bronco on Ebay fee years ago- in sat in the mojave desert for 5 years for Sony. It will give us all a pot of gold to chase after in about ten years when Kirkhams are fetching over a million dollars each- We all know the drill.
|
Bluedog,
No, there is probably no amount of money that will get me to paint a car again. Those days are long gone. The cars were filed when they left. They must have had a local shop do it. big-boss, They didn't run when they left here and they were not able to be run. They were movie props only. Both were exactly the same. I don't know of any other shots in the movie--Kirkham or other wise. The movie house called us directly; they were very straight forward--and in a hurry! Quite easy to deal with, though. Rich Lacy delivered the cars. David :):):) |
Ed kept saying that Iron Man also dropped on his car. He even had his insurance agent believing it.
|
|
That is a way cool garage. I'm proud to see a Kirkham amongst such hardware.
David :):):) |
What a horrible waste. :(
|
He doesn't look like much of a Triathlete....
|
fake!
Funny, I think the car looks fake in the pic.%/

...I'm thinking a body slam from the top rope for Mr. Medusa. :p
|
Terrible travesty to such a piece of art? Why didn't they crunch a Yugo, or a Citroen?
Why.....!!! why!!!....didn't anyone scream to the heavens "TAKE ME TAKE ME!!!" |
:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Top Rope. If you step on the top rope it will immediately be the one below the level of the floor. Kind of like trying to commit suicide by jumping out a basement window.  Ron :p :3DSMILE: |
I can see Jamo firing up that grape tractor right now...
Heads are going to roll. David **)**)**) |
