Come to think of it...we don't have many cars in Florida. Seems like the Utah boys are buying them all up lately!

Sal,
We are actually almost out of cars. I think we may actually run out before the next shipment comes. First time in 13 years! It must be all those Utah customers! Seriously, we have more customers in Utah than any other state...except California. The next container is very close to sold out as well. It actually may already be sold. Just off the top of my head, I know 4 of the 9 are sold. Joe probably sold the rest already!
Oh well, looks like we will start on our Coupe earlier than I thought.

David,
Approximately how many Kirkhams would you say are in Florida?

Could this be the reason there are not many in Florida ... aluminum oxidizes fairly quick next to the ocean due to the salty air so it requires a lot of care or be coated with something.. fiberglass won't rust or oxidized.. Just have to keep it in a/c garage I guess..

As for oxidation, NONE of our customers anywhere have told us that is a problem. Frankly, I don't think it would be a problem unless you drove it on the beach (which I HAVE seen). We have tons and tons of cars (probably 70% of our production) in California by the beach--Los Angeles and San Francisco areas--without any problems at all.

David,
When Reg Dodd came from South Africa to sell BackDraft Cobras he moved to Florida because of the weather but never thought it would be the state with most of his sales, maybe you should consider a Florida dealership with Sal.

I have a sneaking suspicion that is why we sell so many cars in Utah! After this "Global Warming" winter where we all froze here, maybe a move to Florida would be the intelligent thing to do!

I've had my fully polished Kirkham in a non-climate controlled garage in the City of San Francisco proper, about couple miles from the beach, since my October delivery and I haven't noticed any oxidation yet. However, most of our bad weather, fog and cold temperatures, happens in the Summer.
At least that's what Mark Twain said.

From a quick check of our records, there are 8 in Florida.

Why...are you going to make boats? The whole damn swamp will be the first place to sink below the waves when the ice cap melts.
