Kirkham Motorsports Sale

Thanks to those that attended our Kirkham Summit event. In conjunction with the open house we offered a sale price on our 427 KMS/SC cars. One problem we had was that we were having such a good time we forgot to announce the sale! Because of this I think that some may have missed the opportunity. We have a few cars left here in Provo that are eligible for the sale pricing.

You can view information on the sale package here:

Summit 08 SALE

We are going to announce our new pricing structure that will do two things:

1. It will make ordering a car easier for all involved.

2. Unfortunately, with the rising cost of materials and the poor performance of the dollar (the Euro is over $1.50) the cost of our cars is going to increase.

If you would like to get in on the last cars at the old price give me a call.

Best regards,

Joe Weight

Gents,

Sorry, Shelby just called and so I sold one to Shelby. They are seriously thinking about taking the others. We have run into a strange situation where the dollar is falling so our prices are going up. When the Euro first came out, it traded at 0.82 cents--today it passed $1.50! I almost passed out. Along with this, Gerry and Fritz in Europe are selling cars like crazy because of the low dollar and so they are sucking up all of our production in Poland for customers in Europe. We are facing the first shortage of cars in our 13 year history.

Very soon we are going to have to adjust our prices to reflect the fall of the dollar and our cost increases.

David,

I am happy for that you that you are in such a position. You have worked hard and when the markets and exchange rates shift to increase demand for your outstanding product, I for one am glad to see your contiunued success.

Best of Luck.

David Kirkham 02-27-2008 04:33 PM

It is always a good news/bad news situation. I am very seriously thinking we will run out of cars soon...

BUT

Look at the bright side...we will probably start making the coupe way earlier than we thought!

David,
One of these days your cars will be as sought after as the CSX's are now. You (and your team) deserve all that you have earned.

Congrats on the hard work starting to pay off.

KeithBrown 02-27-2008 06:12 PM

David,

I just found out that we have a customer near you. I will see if I can wrangle a trip to , uhmm, confer with them (for a short meeting) and then darken your doorstep soemtime in the next few months.:)

I have been looking for a reason to come to Provo, maybe this will work out.:)

As long as you pass along the savings when the dollar and euro go the other way!

Steve,

Thanks for your kind words! Other people have said that and I certainly hope it is true one day. We really do make a nice car.

Keith,

You are most welcome to come by and see us! Why don't you stop by for the Homecoming event? I am sure I could finagle a seat somewhere for you.

From the looks of it, I doubt the dollar will go the other way. Even if it does, I am sure inflation will be right there in line to bite us all on the bum.

Thanks for the kind offer.

David, don't worry, I'm sure one of three main presidential candidates will fix it when they get into office. On Day One, maybe. Depends on who's elected.

Maybe if the euro gets really expensive to the dollar, your plant in Poland will have to relocate to UT? Yes, I know that's not going to happen. However, maybe those craftsmen you employ want a temp job at the CA DMV each January.

David Kirkham 02-27-2008 08:41 PM

More and more parts keep moving from Poland to the US because of the drop in the dollar. Now, they really only make the frames, bodies, and a very few other parts in Poland. If the dollar drops any further, I may be cheaper to do it in the US!

David,

What's you deposit requirement, anticipated completion/delivery date... How many cars do you have left?

Thanks,

Mark

Tenrocca 02-27-2008 09:23 PM

Can you ship to Australia in RHD? :D

You guys do not know how lucky you are to have access to a car like that at a price like that......

RodKnock 02-27-2008 11:05 PM

Mark,

I don't mean to step on David's or Tom's toes, but I believe the deposit is $5,000 and delivery is typically around 4-8 weeks depending on what options are chosen. When I purchased my Kirkham, it was already finished, so my wait my minimal.

I highly recommend the Kirkham. Not only are the cars outstanding, the people are outstanding. JD Power would rank Kirkham #1 ahead of Lexus if the Kirkham were included. Eh, it's hyperbole, but I'm more than impressed with them.

saltytri 02-27-2008 11:10 PM

Actually, KMP395 has been less trouble than the Lexus lately. Really.

Mark,

RodKnock is correct the deposit is $5,000 for these cars. The balance is due when the car is released for delivery. The delivery time for these cars is 4-6 weeks right now.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
