Tony makes the one that everyone seems to like, the one with the 3 pictures posted by irc fab above, but it is not listed on any website for sale yet. It is a new product and he will be selling it through secondstrike.com.

I am not sure who makes the Olthoff one, but I know with Tony's, I can get it color matched to my interior, which is not black. He also has the correct templates for the BDR and SPF cars so it looks like it came from the factory with the console.

Thanks for the info! It would be great if you could measure it and post the dimensions.

It looks very nice indeed, but from the pictures, and I know pics can be deceiving, the armrest looks too big in terms of proximity to the shifter and would interfere when rowing through the gears. Ultimately, I'm not looking for a place for a stereo, but a small inconspicuous place to put a few knick knacks.

Does Tony have a price in mind?

Revman 06-28-2009 08:42 AM

I know that Tony has a price in mind, but I am not sure what it is. Give him a call. Tony and Mike Stenhouse experimented with a lot of different sizes and are offering a short one and a tall one. They did a lot of work to ensure that it did not interfere with the shifter. I switched my shifter to the Jordon Shifter so I would have more clearance.

Any news with this other arm rest from secondstrike? It's still not listed on their website.

My arm rest order is still stuck at the uphlostery shop according to Olthoff. Have I told you I don't like waiting? "I need more cow bell."

doccoch 07-14-2009 08:38 PM

anyone? really want the console that "IRC FAB" showed. It's certainly not on secondstrike.com.

looks like the cup holder extension might interfere with a short shifter? thoughts?

SKINNEDR 07-15-2009 06:12 AM

I built one with the cup holder and just got it back from the upholster guy. It is installed and look good. Will post some pictures soon...

Here's the link:

$330 delivered in the US.

I'm still interested in seeing the Olthoff piece that Rodney ordered.

http://www.olthoff-racing.com/goodies.php?start=40

$250 and the height looks like it might work better for me.

SKINNEDR 07-20-2009 01:06 PM

Can anyone identify the audio system that is being recommended for this armrest?
That is a system that is used to booster an Ipod.
Thanks..

Doug, my center console/arm rest was shipped out today. I'm not sure how they sent it, but I should have it by next Monday.

SKINNEDR 07-23-2009 10:54 AM

I would like to post pictures, but I really don't know how..
Can someone help with instructions or some other means?

How are the ergonomics when shifting with the cupholders extended and when retracted? Is this an SPF? How does it attach (install)?

I should be getting mine from Ohltoff on Monday.

SKINNEDR 07-23-2009 12:31 PM

Good question. That unit was built for a BDR. I have not tested with the cupholder fully extended with two drinks. It is fine with one I know.
It has a contoured back to fit the BDR. I can custom built it to fit any Cobra with some measurement help from the owners (length and angled back of your Cobra). Optional colors are also available. Ergonomicly it is very comfortable with the standard shifter.

Not really into the business, however if you have a special request I can do you a favor... It will cost a few bucks...The current one is Vinyl leather lookalike. Padded outer, etc. can be done in leather also, but again will cost more.

It is attached with two bolts into the transmission tunnel. Nuts and big washer with lock washer from underneath.
The one currently built by Second strike is too long for most Cobras... I can built one for your with some dimensional help from you...
