Who would of thought. The great armrest smackdown of 2009.

I have a special "top secret" hybrid version on order that is based one of the aforementioned vendors designs. I will report back when I receive the armrest this week. :D

Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the armrest from Olthoff. I may be in the market for another.

Doug, let me know how yours turns out and we can compare at the next breakfast.

Here are some pictures of the armrest that I ordered from Tony Revetti (who makes the armrest for Second Strike). It's the exact same armrest that Second Strike sells, but it's 4" tall instead of 8" tall. I decided to go with a 4" height because my seat has no rails and is mounted directly to the floorboard.

For those SPF owners, the armrest blends PERFECTLY with the interior and Tony will try to match your interior if it has faded at all. The quality is top notch and and the unit is so solid that it really doesn't even need to be attached with screws or Velcro to the tunnel

Doug, did you get all the same dimensions as mentioned on the website, but reduced the height down to 4"? Did you get one cupholder or two?

Can a black lid be made and installed? The pic of yours looks gray to me.

Doug,

I orderd a full size from second strike.

Rodney,

Yes, mine is the exact same dimensions of the standard unit, but 4" high vs. 8" high. It has two cupholders, I just took a picture with one out.

The lid is black and matches the color of the seats (it is slightly lighter than seats and does show a little more gray depending on the light). The carpet is an exact match. For some reason the grain of the leather armrest makes it look more gray in the pictures that I took. The pictures of the armrest with the seats on Second Strike are a much better representation.

I did not go back and read all the postings, but in case the vendor has not been mentioned. In the Oct edition of Kit Car Builder on page 38 & 39 of the London Cobra Show, Custom Cobra Consoles, no personal experience with the company/product, first time that I have seen their website.

Tony Revetti at Console Creations puts out a quality product and is great to work with.

Tony mentioned that he hadn't attached the armrest on his SPF, but I found that it was moving a bit so I ended up using the industrial Velcro tape that he included. You could also attach it with screws, but you don't really need to.
