Any thoughts on this? I don't want him to wind up with something too small, that will be a pain to load. The 18" seems like it won't be too bad. Also, any thoughts on the price?

Thanks!
O.K. I feel like a kid talking on a C.B. for the first time back in the 70's. This is my very first post on any kind of blog, chat room or whatever we call them. I just joined today so here goes...

Regarding trailers, my suggestion is to go as long and wide as you can afford.
The axel weight is really important & try to find a "beaver tail" to prevent high center problems. Also check to see if it's already as low as possible or perhaps you can lower it so your not hauling around 2X6's to put under the tires of the car to prevent it from dragging on the ground every time you load or unload because the ramp door is to steep. The down side of a low trailer is dragging the rear of trailer on entry and exit of parking lots, but you can learn to avoid that with a turn of steering wheel just at the right moment. Also having a winch w/ battery power comes in handy to load and unload so you are not hitting the car door on the inside of the trailer and squeezing out of the car each time. It is very easy to damage your car loading & unloading.
Remember, as soon as all your friends know you have a trailer they will all want to use it! Good Luck.
