Quick Jacks look OK but I like bumperettes. I do not like the look of the oval loop that duplicates the grille opening. I do not think I've seen a Cobra without bumpers. All of the extra holes for the support brackets would look funny.
If you built one from scratch and did not drill any holes for the bumper rods, it might look pretty good.

Most ALL Cobras do not have bumpers. Most have fake quick jacks, (includind mine), which are not bumpers.

Of all the cars that run quick jacks, why does everyone put them on backwards? I've yet to figure that out.

Stretch...go check out my gallery. I did build mine from scratch with no holes and no bumpers, OR jacks on front or back since I didn't like the look either. I even shaved the light fixture off the trunk!!!
Authenticity, I spit on you...pshah...LOL. Of course, as a former Brit, I think this is how AC cars were supposed to look, and Shelby cluttered them up when he stole them from us...ROFL

No quick jacks or bumpers on mine. I've never banged my shins walking by the car ( I have burned pant legs though! ) and I love the clean look.

Check out my gallery, no front bumpers on mine, I think the front looks "cleaner" without them, but thats just me. I do have rear bumpers on it though.
