Whatever replica you choose to purchase, take your time and do some research before you jump in. There are a lot of variations out there in the Cobra world. I had plenty of time to research what I wanted, and the Cobra I ultimately decided on and purchased turned out to be quite a bit different from what I initially would have purchased.
My bias, of course, if for ERA's---the 289 FIA to be exact. |
question
Ok, having read this thread I am once again considering FFR I have e-mailed them twice with questions about the MK3 kit and have never herd from them. According to the book" The Complete Guide to Cobra Replicas" edition 4 if the manufacturer does not return your calls forget them. Realize I am not flaming anyone or trying to bring on a war of words- not my point. Just restating that I have not had contact back from them. Will try again and see what happens.

Hey Bob,
I have had the pleasure of meeting several of the FFR engineers at Mid-Ohio Raceway and looked very closely at their Challenge Series Cobras. If you are looking for a Cobra to track AND drive on the street, I'd look closely at these cars. Hope this helps, steve:) |
Little Bill...
It is best to call FFR with your questions. Mike |

Just for your info..........Fortes makes adjustables for the rear ......so no need to continue to hasstle with it. I have them, and worth every penny!!
fred z BTW....I have one the Mk 3's.....built a bit over a year ago........completely new and high performance parts everywhere.....professoionally built by a pro who has built many and raed the spec racers.........we didn't spare the expense anywhere, ....that wuld have been silly....especially where safety and convenience are needed..........and though i am not going to reveal the cost.......worth it, believe me! I took it down to Hillbank Motorsports, Irvine, to get some of their pipes......just like the different sound.....and they came out, Lance included, and praised the work on the car and the quality!! Now, coming from a company that produces a great car, in my opinion, that is a complement. FFR makes a good car.......not the best or worst. There isn't one that is best or worst........even the original had issues. fred z :MECOOL: |
