Cheetah on E-Bay

Put a roller on E-Bay if you're looking for something different http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/cheet...m260254606635&

sweeeeeet, me likes
Where would you get the rest of the parts from, like glass, wiring etc?
cheers

Clois Harlan 06-24-2008 01:28 PM

Rich Anderson at Shell Valley has everything you would need to complete the car.

Oh, wouldn't that hit the fan.....Of course it's ok to put a Chevy engine in a Ford, but when you try to do the opposite, people try to slit their wrists.

I don't know. For some reason any time I see a Cheetah I think of Jimmy Durante.:3DSMILE: The Cheetah just doesn't make my top ten list for good-looking cars. For that matter, nor the top one hundred....

It's not supposed to be a good looking car, it's supposed to be "how can we put the smallest possible body on a bare chassis" kind of car. :3DSMILE:

Well, ok. I've owned ugly cars in the past and that's one habit I'm proud to say I've kicked.

mr bruce 06-24-2008 04:38 PM

this is not a Shell Valley car. I built it from scratch. Car No 5. I have and can supply all parts to finish. Car uses off the shelf parts, from Summit ,Jegs,Afco, Coleman. Windshield is saftey glass from a Corvette. 1800 lbs, will give most "pretty" Cobras a run for their money

1985 CCX 06-24-2008 04:42 PM

Mr Bruce
Cool looking car!

jdean 06-24-2008 06:00 PM

I like the mean looks of the Cheetah.....but it does not look very comfortable at all!

Are any of these (other than from Shell Valley) able to be street legal?

86Sebring 06-24-2008 06:39 PM

Mr Bruce
Could you list whats needed in parts and approx $ amount.
I for one always thought a Cheetah to be about as evil/ sinister looking as they come. 1800lbs/ 400+ horses holy moly
Must be an oven in the tight little cockpit, is there AC available like in a Daytona?
cheers

mr bruce 06-24-2008 06:57 PM

My Cheetah can be made street legal in Pennsylvania, and we have the toughest inspection laws in the country. It has a safety glass windshield. Comfortable? more room than almost every Cobra replica out there. I can fit people 6'6". Thu heat management, it's as cool as any Cobra coupe replica, and I can put air in if you want. Cost to finish? up to you

Ronbo 06-24-2008 09:40 PM

This is probably not the best place to advertise the "Cobra killer"...;)

jdean 06-25-2008 06:20 AM

IMHO it is ok for established members to mention the Cheetah or even the Gran Sport or other interesting cars with a storied past now and then on here. Most of us are secure enough about our cars and the Cobra position in history. Now some newbie scammer opportunist is another deal altogether.

I would love to see a what a built-out Cheetah would do at something like Run-n-Gun for instance.

How does the Cheetah manage to be so much lighter than a Cobra?

mr bruce 06-25-2008 07:17 AM

Run+Gun, maybe next year, I'm a one man company, no time/funds this year. Why so lite? chromoly frame, Corvette suspension is lighter , LS Chevy engine package only weighs 390 lbs.Like Johnny Mac says, you want a test drive, catch me at BeaveRun

Neal Jackson 06-30-2008 01:31 AM

Lookin Good Bruce! Nice work!

:)

Jamo 06-30-2008 03:06 AM

Howdy Neal. :)
