Great News to report...SAAC and CS have settled.
Really great to report that an agreement has been signed today between SAAC and Carrol Shelby...
...and all is well with the world again.
SAAC-33 will be better than ever!

Hey Ron great news thanks for the report. What do you think the chances of his attendance are now?

here is our post as well, thanks too who helped
All,
I am happy to post that the two parties have reached an agreement. This has been a long and hard road but it was worth it for the betterment of the two groups.
I want to thanks Dave Winkler, Dave Mathews and especially Ron Richards for their tireless devotion to getting this resolved. I also want to thank all the others who helped and supported the re-uniting of these two great groups.
We all realized the members were the ones that were suffering and for that reason alone, this needed to end.
The Shelby American Automobile Club will stay a separate membership club and continue the great registry work they have done all these years.
In show of support for this new deal, SAI will attend the SAAC-33 event in New Jersey this coming week.
I hope those of you who are in the area will join us to celebrate this historic relationship.
Amy

Great news! Kudos to both sides in resolving the dispute. There is hope for humanity yet!

Good news. I have not been directly affiliated with either group, so I never had anything to add to the mix and tried to stay out of it. But I have previously posted that my view of CS was tarnished. He came of as the bad guy in all of this to me. Just the proof he was willing to negotiate (no matter if the reason was for the club members, his customers, or just because a PR rep said he should) shows that he is human and is willing to do what he thinks is best for the marquee and the members in the long run. Good job on both sides to end this.

Carroll did come thru to let this happen.... but the "Real" kudos ( and the work involved to actually make it happen) goes to Amy Boylan.
Amy worked some long hours with us to address every issue and detail of this renewed relationship.... and saw it through to completion.

Not to take anything away from Amy, but my comment was centered around Carroll allowing the negotiations. I assumed that someone under him handled the individual line items. That is what he hires them for.
Once again, congrats to all involved from someone new to the Cobra world but getting close to his.

Fantastic , Amy! In the face of having to deal with tough realities, your heart has always shown itself to be in the right place. I will now raise my glass to you, Ron, Carroll, Rick and all the others involved in restoring joy to this hobby for a large group of passionate enthusiasts.

That's wonderful news. Thanks to SAAC and SAI for coming to a compromise both sides could live with. Thanks Ron.

Congrats to all involved in working this out. Glad to see common sense prevailed and both parties were able to work out thier differences.
Now can we get back to printing/shipping the new registry?

This is so nice, I'm very happy for both groups and the Shelby fans!
First thing I did was change my signature line, whew, what a relief this is.

Rats - now I'm gonna have to rewrite a whole chunk of the next book... :-)
So rare for common sense to prevail these days! Well done to all. Jolly good show.
