Mike,
As soon as the real estate market comes back, me and the missus hope to make a quick sale and get out. I have a 'handshake deal' with my boss (who is in FL) that I can work full time from home in NC.....but that could change as Corp IT direction changes daily. I am completing my last big project in the house now which explains my lack of racing this season. We're making another trek down in November to narrow down our search regardings towns that appeal to us and can get the most for our money. We'd like to be in or near the mountains in wester NC if possible. |
Mike......welcome to CT, the new Model name for your FFR will be " Composite ", CT DMV designation for kit cars and replicas:

CT emissions: For production cars, must pass the emissions standard for the year of the make/model which since approx 1996 ( + or - ) is via a cable hook up to the vehicles recorder/diagnostic unit.
Do not know specifics, but in some cases the dyno will be used to obtain an emissions reading The most recent change, if the Check Engine light has been re-set, the emissions testing system will invalidate the test until approx 7 days have elapsed. If the Check Engine light is on, the garage will not test the vehicle. There are additional CT emissions web sites, 2 are http://www.ctemissions.com/ http://www.ctemissions.com/general.html |
Additional:
"On-Board Diagnostics, or "OBD," is a computer-based system built into all 1996 and later light-duty vehicles and trucks, as required by the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. OBD systems are designed to monitor the performance of some of an engine's major components including those responsible for controlling emissions" |
Jon, maybe our paths will meet in Nc. we bought land last year on the east coast in a town called Moyock, right next to Virginia beach, the first town over the line into NC.
