1) The 888 number on the website is having problems. Originally it was rolling over to the Texas number, but something has happened to disrupt that. Chris had sent payment to the company three different times but the problem still hasn't been resolved. 2) The normal toll line rings into the front office, but they are out in the shop doing the things that need to be done. Unless they are in the office or happen to be walking by when it rings, the phone isn't answered. He has plans to add someone to that office but hasn't done so yet. 3) If you have Chris' cell phone number, he is answering that. 4) He said probably the best way to contact him is via his personal email account, chriswhiteracing@AOL.com (Hope I remembered that correctly) however, he indicated he only checks that account at the end of the day. And if it has been an exceptionally difficult day, it may get skipped for a few more minutes of sleep. Chris indicated things are moving forward although a lot slower than he wanted. Paul HM1078 |

I have something to get off of my conscience...
I have been a sheep to the brand. I beguiled myself into being an agent for that brand in hope of great promise for the brand and some customer service. What you are about to see will certainly shock you, but I can not achieve salvation without confession to the forum and the resulting castigation. Jamo and Brent... please be lenient, after all, I have been a schmuck. (This post will make no sense to you, and you will not be able to pass judgement on me, unless you read this entire thread from the first post.) http://mysite.verizon.net/res909nt/s...es/schmuck.jpg http://mysite.verizon.net/res909nt/s...chmuckmove.jpg http://mysite.verizon.net/res909nt/s...muckresult.jpg Thanks for reading. Any Hurricane owners out there "getting there cars fixed?" Time will tell folks; get some popcorn. Another 5 weeks or so gone by and not a word from Arlington....
elmariachi, any word or progress on anything for you? Maybe time for someone to do a "drive-by" again.... Ken |
Hurricane management contacted me last week with an update on production and invited me to their facility in mid-to-late December to preview a completed chassis and body. I intend to take them up on their offer and see how things look at that time.

Good luck to Hurricane starting up in this economy! I've heard that several of the long term manufacturers are about to fold. If companies that have had an outstanding reputation for many years are dying on the vine....maybe Hurricane should wait a couple of years until the market firms up. Now I understand why Mike and Rich had another full time business that made their income and Hurricane was just a little side operation.

I'll make another "drive-by" site visit today on my lunch hour. More later, this afternoon.
11:57AM CST: Okay I just got back from Hurricane Motorsports in Arlington, TX. Chris wasn't there so I didnt get past the front door. There were 5 cars parked in front of the building, and a female receptionist to greet me. Lots of new flyers on the desk, but that's all I saw. The overhead door at the end of the building was closed. So my visit didnt produce much results, other than learning the front door isn't locked. |
Receptionist?
The fact they have someone in the front office is a positive sign. Chris had been trying to do it all himself.
Best wishes to him Paul HM1078 |
